Gazman

Gazman has a very high position and profile in the retail enviroment.
The product is very appealing to its targeted demographic.
They  have very good systems in place and are constantly improving implementations both administratively and with their merchandising.
It is a very high pace and their continuing growth, demands are ever increasing.
I arrive on any working day in time to present store for opening - vacuuming,dusting etc.
I attent to"Ritek " rostering entries and view emails.
Then I  diarise  the days priorities.
My sales assistant then arrives and we duscuss the days activities;
What new stock is expected; days target; and any HO communications.
What I enjoy about the job is the daily communicattion with staff and customers alike.  I have the upmost respect for their product and how valuable the customers are.
Working with this very progressive company keeps my skills honed for this and any other professional environment.

In a typical day at my store being Manager I would open the store with the usual morning tasks of counting the float, work on the KPIs and set out a list of tasks for the part timer or casual to do later when they arrive. Every staff member I Have under my management are fun, outgoing and hard working with great work ethics about them. We have fun with the customers as they are the ones we need to make feel comfortable enough to shop around and buy the product. The hardest part of this job is to be upset with the store, it is alway in the best of shape and always has a great atmosfear. Once the part timer or casual have done their required hours and finished all their tasks they sign off on the times sheet and head home to leave me to finish closing up.I count the tills finish on the KPIs and give the store a once over with the vacuum and that's the end of the day ready for the next.

This is my second time working for Gazman and both times I was treated badly.
 I figured the first time may have been a one off and I just happened to strike a bad manager,
 Upon returning I experienced even worse,
The problem seems to be systemic,
 Save your mental health and look elsewhere for a job where the company respects you and looks out for your best interests,
 The stores I had particular trouble with were Noosa Hastings St and Mooloolaba,

I find working at Gazman enjoyable.  The customers who shop where I work are friendly and very approachable.   I love what I do and it gives me great satisfaction that I am able to build a rappore with them.

I have many repeat customers being both men and women.

The team at Gazman are just that a team.  We all share the work even as a Manager I don't expect my team to do anything that I wouldn't do myself .  Eg taking the rubbish out.

The hardest part is some days we may received 20 boxes of stock and only 2 staff on. 

The most enjoyable part are the customers.

I've learned all about men's clothing .

Training was thorough, brand was easy to sell but found it a very quiet store with not much foot traffic.  Spent the day refolding perfectly folded piles of  clothes just to pass the time.  Only offered  3 or 4 hour shift but was so bored couldn’t wait for that shift to be over.  Lasted only 4 weeks.

GAZMAN was an unpleasant place to work. Their training was not comprehensive, their salary package was not appealing, and the management did little to motivate their teams outside of criticism and threats to job security. Hours provided were inconsistent, and the work place was rife with bullying.

I loved my time working there. The only reason I left was for full time work. The clients vary in ages but assisting young and older men in finding something they would love was refreshing. And seeing how happy they were when they left with great clothing was gratifying. Would do it again for sure.

I was only casual while I was studying at university, while there the team was fun and energetic. Gazman worked well to fit in around my lectures and tutorials and was understanding of my commitments.

It's a good company to work for. Reasonable salary, opportunity to progress further in the company, Very nice clothing /fashion industry for men.
I've learned all about men's clothing.
