receptionist/administrative assistant

I was traveling around the world however most of my work was in Sydney Australia where i spent 10 months.

I would be doing temporary work ranging from admin work in a legal firm, a VIP waiter at the Sydney opera house, Arranging accounts for WestPac (one of Australia's largest banks) and working for the Road Traffic Authority.

I also worked in busy bars and as a waiter. However jobs were all the way down to Scrubbing shower trays and weeding gardens if need be.

Whilst traveling I always got by and enjoyed myself, quite simply this required to do whatever it took when I needed to.

At the Gap i am currently working on casual basis and my review is That This job involves helping others, not being judgemental about a situation, and providing support to change lives. It can be difficult so you'll not only need skills but also patience, compassion and understanding. Basically, if you're self-obsessed and don't like dealing with people, this is not the job for you.


GAP was my second job and I absolutely loved working with this company. I could interact with the customers, find them clothes that they would buy instantly. I loved how the management and co-workers were so nice. It's unfortunate that I had to move, but I would love to work there again in a heartbeat.

At my location, my managers and co-workers are the best which make me feel comfortable at work. There's never hard tasks so it's a pretty simple job. Working here has helped me improve skills such as communication & time-management.

Made lots of friends and had a lot of fun it's a easy place to work. But after five years of work got a little repetitive and boring, I had options to progress but it's just more stress for little money.

Very busy environment and very fas paced at most of the time. Not great on secure working patern and slow release of working rota. Good staff discount. High staff turn over.

Through working here I have managed to gain a lot of experience in the line of retail and was also able to enhance my previous skills, learning new ways of doing things.

i mostly dont remember but it was alright for a first job. I guess it just depends on who works with them and where as it can be different from place to place.

It was a great experience. I would highly recommend for a first job. I never had any complaints. The work place is very professional and also comfortable.
