What is the best part of working at the company?
Unfortunately this company doesn't have much positive that can be said about it. A minimum number of permanent staff who are not treated well. 90% casual workforce with a high turnover.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The toxic culture. A very strange situation of having casual team leaders. No training of the rf scanner infor system to the 90% casual workforce. The majority of the casual workforce are Columbian ensuring low diversity. For some reason Spanish is spoken on the floor which results in people who do not speak Spanish being unable to do their job as they are not informed of the information required to do their job. Very strange - never seen anything like it in my 30yr working history.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Highly toxic on the warehouse floor. 90% casual staff and mainly visa holders. Unless you speak Spanish there is no point working here. Which is wierd for a global company that is originally from France.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Repeatedly having to ask questions in order to do your job as information was given in Spanish. As an English speaker this is highly irritating. The only good thing was I got to learn some Spanish and some people were really lovely. Unfortunately, due to the high turnover you constantly need to be fixing mistakes and training new people.

Companies in this industry (International Freight Fowarding) is very stable and a lot to learn from.

However, once you familiar with what your duty and day to day work, you will be in a comfort zone and it is very hard to get out of it.

However, I have been promoted in various role and duties in this industry which make my experience and knowledge to next level.

I have learnt a lot from my operational and accounts experience, which give me a strong foundation on the current role i am doing as a sales support, mainly focus on all the tenders / RFQ.

Geodis is a very good company overall, every colleague is so helpful and bonded. But the salary is not reflecting enough on what my work is.

I have learned a lot about accounting and administration, which was related to my study. The long days were the hardest part of the job and the required focus I needed was pretty intensive. I enjoyed the accounting part the most. Besides that, the management was pretty good organised because when I needed assistance I could just e-mail my manager and he would help me out within a day.

Worst culture of any company I have ever worked for. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No support from management…..Terrible

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Sterile environment and lack of support from management

Loading and unloading trucks also unloading containers.

Picking and putting away stock.

General housekeeping.

Foklift work.

Enjoyed working in the team environment.

Health and Safety was number one.

A typical day at Geodis consists of a very busy day from forklift driving and unloading containers.
management are a bit tight as they make people do more than they can but other than that its a good cultured place to work.

great team in the warehouse and the office.

The Freight and Logistics generally is a fast-paced full-on environment.
Most of the time one hardly get the time for lunch. Freight is a busy place t.

Make sure you get lunch breaks and at least morning tea breaks otherwise it will be home time before you know it.
You must take care of yourself first because your job won't. 

Great staff, hard working management that keep the company on great professional standards. Everyone is very well presented and is kind to one another

Have there favourites that is for sure.  Expectations are high for the little training that is given.  Thought process is very minimal and so much for collaboration.
