Fuji Xerox's DMS site is a modern day sweatshop. 
Clients such as the ATO and the AEC subcontract the work that is then once again subcontracted to people that do not understand what their role is as they are yoyoed from one role within the building to another depending on what the floor managers decide they feel like doing on the day. 

No one is given an end time for their shift, there are no rosters and we therefore live in limbo until someone wanders around and tells us we're either leaving in an hour or that we're staying back for 4 and a half. This to me is highly highly unprofessional and does nothing but flush the morale of staff and make them resentful of management and the role itself with no overtime given. 

I watch people in data entry get verbally abused by (seeing as i'm not allowed to name names, she is the data entry supervisor with short dark hair and a heavy build) on a daily basis, to the extent of vague physical threats such as "I will have your head" which again I believe is INSANELY unprofessional and unacceptable in or outside the workplace whether people are making mistakes or not. 

Only one of my supervisors can speak fluent english which has made it ridiculously hard to work with (on both ends) and ask questions, as I will ask a question and they end up more confused than I was in the first place and I eventually have to just hope for the best and hope the process I had was the correct one as its not my job to decipher and translate a language I don't speak in a predominantly english speaking country. 

No communication whatsoever between different levels of staff. Everyone is playing some weird little passive aggressive ego trip. 

Stop contracting too many people from Randstad and Employ for a few hours a day and just hire some a permanent full time staff. 

The place is run like a sweat shop and honestly needs someone to go in with hidden cameras or more than one person to go to fair work as a witness to what is going on here. SME's, supervisors and management should all be ashamed of the way they run this room and treat the staff below them.

1. The day starts with planning with my fellow team members.
2. We pre-install the machine in the workshop to ensure that all the customer requirements are met and program the network data in the machine. we also calibrate the color to ensure that the quality is benchmark
3. We load the machine in the delivery van that is fitted with the self loading facility and fill the Job work sheet. we confirm that all the accessories are packed and secured well to avoid damage.

4. We deliver the machine to the customers premises, install it in the network with the help of the IT team, train the users on the basic maintenance and have the sign off. We connect scan to e-mail, Scan to and from USB, configure workflow scanning, Install Equitrac to monitor and issue access pins, configure automatic meter reading dispatch to our office
5. This job has taught me to embrace team work.

6. The hardest job was loading and Unloading the machine from the van and taking them to building without lifts but with the use on modern lifting gear, the work is now easier.

7. My team member are very helpful especially when we have to rollout the orint drivers in the office computers. we plan and assign jobs to different people and that way we complete the work on time.

8. The job is good and I would like to share this great experience with the rest of the world to enhace customer service.

Worst experience of my life as a temporary data entry/Supervisor.
Fuji Xerox management were varied, but several were unnecessarily officious and incredibly rude. Understood they are under time pressure, but that is just unacceptable in this day and age. It’s micro managed and run like the slave trade.
Data entry training was not thorough, so no body really understands whether they are entering information accurately or not.  Initial direction is misleading by being told accuracy was more important than speed. Then 3 days in a bunch of us were laid off for being too slow. I was not even doing data entry, because I was supervising staff and jumping up and down to help staff, and put my hand up to help out in scanning for one of the 3 days, so where they get their speed figures from I don’t know, but they are definitely not correct in my case, because I didn’t even do data entry per say.
I will never do this time of work again. And yes, I am a disgruntled employee indeed.

Being based in Australia but working with NZ customers provided various challenges.  Each day was slightly different with dealing queries from the end users through to customer helpdesks needing assistance on their remotely connected devices.  Everyday provided learning/teaching opportunities where I was able to use local (NZ) geography, relationship built throughout the time with the firm & company knowledge to further assist customers to resolve their issue at hand and build the team knowledge base.  Providing support to both the local (NZ) team as well as the Australian based team was great fun as the day was fast filled up & each task was given attention to completion.
One of the challenges whilst being part of a small team was not being able to fully train colleagues on all aspects of the NZ side of things as the resources were limited however this was rectified to a degree by a training manual which I created for the team.

Every morning I would check mail inbox to see if there are any urgent email from customer last night. If there is, I will handle these issues first. 

Then I would send daily invoices to customers.

I would handle customer's inquires such as reissuing previous invoices, charging customers and help them book a technician. 

Then I would do a reconciliation, to match EFTPOS daily settlement with bank statement and enter into system. 

I have learned it is essential to keeping customers' information in a efficiency way. Using a good designed Excel spread sheet to manage huge data is necessary. Keeping all emails from customers is necessary as well. 

The most enjoyable part is I can help my customers. I know the customers would  get technique support soon and  I help my company to receive money from customer.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Flexibility and comraderies. The people are great, the business processes are pretty good though the company lacks the ability to follow through on vision.
 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Providing 24\7 support for 3+ years. Hitting targets that were outside of my control. 


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
To woke for me. Heavy in DEI and following as a sheep the government lockdowns and unscientific vaccine requirements'.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Never typical, remote work 24/7 supporting customers and improving backend workflows. Supporting other team members in knowledge transfer training and encouragement.

At first i started as a sorter at Fuji Xerox where i was not given enough training at the start. I was being told few things and then i started sorting straight away. The very next week Fuji Xerox got a three months project from Australian Election Commission in which number of people were hired to work as a team to scan ballot papers and enter the data into the system to keep it as a record. I was appointed as a supervisor straight away to lead a team of 20 people to enter the data into the system. As a supervisor my job was to ensure that every team member is working accordingly and the data being entered is all correct and to the point. The hardest part of the job was to deal with different kinds of people in the team and make them understand the task accurately.

I have learned quite a lot since I started with Fuji Xerox especially learning multiple system to resolve accounting issues.

Co-workers are very friendly but I notice that they were too busy with their responsibility and lack of team work.

I am also surprise that my manager does not even know how to deal with intercompany transactions. 

This has been the hardest part of my work without anyone assistant since I started with Fuji Xerox. My predecessor who did the handover notes it wasn't really clear about providing step by step guide about intercompany stuff.


To summary, I find hard to continue this role that is why I am looking for new opportunity.

Arrived 8.15am, checked emails from last night, followed up todays deliveries, leased with customer service.
Set appointments for each day, spent next 2 - 3 hours prospecting new business by cold calling, leveraging from existing business.
Spent time with marketing team and forthcoming promotions etc.
Once a fortnight had conference call with Sydney and remainder of Australia to discuss / exchange ideas with other team members , and report to National Sales Manager pipeline, forecast etc.
Last hour of each day used to go over days activities, email customers visited, follow up appointments, prepare proposals etc.
I enjoyed the feeling of camaraderie and the workplace culture I would describe as healthy.
