Focus International

The atmosphere at Focus was great, everybody hyping the job up constantly and always happy. However it was a front for a a job that was long hours, constant rejection and sometimes for less money than I used to travel there every day. I know that sales is not for everyone and I'm sure some people have a different view of the company than myself, but I feel that I can speak for a lot of people after seeing the ridiculously high turn over rate at Focus.

The company is strong and is going places, but being a sales rep and being the annoying person asking "just a quick question" isn't something I wish to do for a long term career. The people I started with were lovely people and they all mean well. The office was always full of people and on Fridays we played games which were fun.  But; it's one of those pyramid jobs...you only do good if your at the top. The company is excelling and growing but it not for me.

Commission based charity collecting company. Expected to work 8am - 5pm. No travel expenses paid. Some days it ended up costing me money with parking fee and travel expenses. Hired as independent contractor no benefits whatsoever and need to do you own books. Company keeps part of all your commissions you earned if you don't stay beyond 1 year. Not sure if entirely legal.

The only downside is the commission based pay, but aside from that, the positives greatly outweigh the negatives and the environment is filled with energetic and young sales representatives who know what they're doing.

Learnt a lot from working at Focus International. I was taught from the very beginning what is involved in sales and the precise systems involved in being a good salesman. They took the time to train me with extreme patience and treated every worker with respect regardless of your ability.

Do not apply. Avoid at all cost. Their base and commission is laughable. They are a pyramid scheme where the more people you get signed up to be fellow employees and the number of sales you get gives you a negligible raise in your base and commission. If you don't manage to a get even one sale in a day you will only receive $50 if you are lucky.

It's a really great place to work if you want some fun to start off your day this is probably it. I learnt how to speak to others and prove to myself I can be more confident in myself to what I was before. 

The hardest part about this job would be the sales, but is very rewarding when you get the sales.

education and experience in sales is invaluable but there are other ways to have learnt these skills besides the 100% commission based structure they lable as 'untapped potention of earning'

this is definitely the place to go if you are or wanting to become an entrepreneur. FOCUS International will provide you with the best sales knowledge and experience and at the same time you have a lot of fun.
