Five Guys

We were sold a lie. The group interview was to tell us how great it is working at five guys. The benefits etc. reality is that you get to be disrespected by managers. You have tasks that are so physical that expect pain and damages in your body. You cannot have any days off unless you are dead! You have to find a replacement for your shift as it’s not the managers job to do that. You will be cleaning every kravis of five guys with water and paper towel. You will wash the dishes with your hands no dishwasher. Your pay you can question but it doesn’t make sense. We aren’t a fast food company but we get paid fast food rates. Every way to cut
Corners to pay you less. More managers then staff. All are on their high horse. 


You will never be the same! big American chain how bad could it be? Well you get to wake up and be at work by 7am, roll beef Patties, two
or so hours of that, then start setting up stations, hand cutting potatoes,
Bags of it, everything is done by hand, heavy or light it’s your job you have to do it. Muscle pain and damage guaranteed. If you are on close get ready to hand wash everything by hand, no dishwasher here, after 10pm close you will get out at 11.30, 12pm. More chiefs then Indians,
Some managers are nice some are on a echo trip. Wages for what you have to do isn’t worth the five guys life. You can say goodbye to your family and friends because you will never see them again. 

As a Business that charges insurmountable amounts for there food, they underpay staff and expect excessive amounts of work to be completed. You will also feel as if you have no escape from work as they continuously flood the chats with correcting peoples work and setting "standards" that get changed weekly. Five Guys management is a joke with them expecting no contact from the employees whilst off shift, however that same level of respect is not reciprocated to the crew member staff.

Five guys is a good workplace, the team are all nice and as far as i can tell there have been no issues between crew members. 
Management is very nice and I haven’t had any problems at all. 
The work is very fast paced and physical, which not a lot of people have been happy with and have left already but i have quickly gotten used to it. 


Management constantly corrects you in chats and in person about small things such as only five pickles a burger but contacting managers is forbidden but they can spam a chat all day and night about silly standards for such little pay. 

One of the best teams I've worked with . All the crew members were super nice along with the managers that actually cared about their staff. It is a hands on job and longer shifts but it can go quickly when your with the right people.

Management all young and inexperienced and don’t know what they are doing besides how to boss around other young adults and be rude 
Need to bring someone with experience in bot that it matter this place is dying 

Fun place to work. Great team. 
I was part of the opening of one restaurant and it was a great experience. Fast paced and never gets boring. Worst part is the cleaning.
