I arrive at work and are welcomed with smiles, then pur my bags away, get changed into my rashvest, set up my equipment and am in the water at least 5-10 minutes before my first class starts.  I often have 9-10 x 30m classes with no breaks, dealing with many different personalities and abilities and parents and children.  I need to have to have full concentration at all times and never be off guard because I am teaching children in the water who are at a safety risk and whose parents pay for the lessons so every child deserves as much attention as the other.  Even though it can be exhausting, I work in a Very positive and encouraging environment with caring and intellectual people which culture is created by the owners. Hunger and concentration can suffer round hour 4ish but management is great at checking in and asking is all is ok as well as often offering coffees on pool deck at their expensive!  I enjoy engaging with other staff and having fun with the kids I work with and I feel supported and heard by most if there are issues! The environment is very calm as people are happy due to the culture of understanding, flexible and happy people which filters down to the clients!  I finish work and am allowed to swim for my own benefit at no extra cost and am able to voice my concerns and feedback about students or other.

Being a swimming instructor at fit2swim means you are part of an inclusive and supportive team of teachers and management that you always feel comfortable & confident around. The pool is heated, you’re supplied with lots of equipment & the supervisors are always there to support you on shift. Being part of the team is like a big family and everyone looks out for eachother & helps when they can! When you start you’ll be buddied up with current teachers to get a feel for the teaching style. You’ll be given all the help and support you need with regular 1-2-1s and feedback. 

I have really enjoyed working as a swim instructor at the Maroubra centre. The team is friendly and supportive, and management is always approachable if you need help or advice. It is a rewarding role seeing the kids build confidence and improve their skills each week. The workplace is well organised and flexible around my schedule. Overall, it is a positive and welcoming environment to work in.

I've recently joined Fit2Swim as a swim instructor.  Both the owners and manager of this swim pool care.  They care about the instructors, the children and the swim programme they are providing.   This creates a very positive place to work and one where I feel I can contribute .  The  instructors are skilled in what they do and are very prepared to show me their techniques to progress the swimming skills of each child or person who comes in for lessons. 

I’ve worked at this swim centre for 3 years and have had nothing but a positive experience! The management team is really supportive and all of the staff is really friendly. Advancing in terms of role position is an option, so the ability to progress in skills is an opportunity from doing pool teaching to squad and even being a part of the management team! 

Fit2Swim is a great place to work as they are very flexible and accommodating around my schedule. My manager is always accessible to ask questions or suggestions for better class techniques or management. Other staff are friendly and welcoming. Kids are mostly very sweet and enjoy coming to their swim lessons. 

Working at Fit2swim school has been an amazing experience. It's all about fun, teamwork, and building strong relationships with both staff and students. Our team is incredible, and we make learning a blast. One small thing though: I do believe that introducing breaststroke earlier could further enhance our program. 

But this swim school is simply exceptional.

Fit2swim is great swim school. The management are excellent, the culture is fantastic. They are flexible and it is a fun place to work. It’s great to see how your teaching skills can benefit the kids. It’s an inclusive environment and safe workplace for all employees.  I recommend working here . 

Fit2Swim offers an excellent opportunity for swimming teachers. The environment is fun and you feel great doing a service for the community. Fellow staff members are always friendly and overall it is a great place to work.
