➢ Accepting the parcels from the customers and recording the necessary details such as weight, content, destination etc.
➢ Charging the customers appropriately and delivering them the receipt.
➢ Sorting and filing the detailed records of the parcels received and forwarding it to the supervisor for further processing.
➢ Handing over the parcels / boxes to the transportation department following proper transfer SOP.
➢ Receiving the couriers to be distributed and sorting them according to the suburbs and regions.
➢ Traveling to the delivery destinations and handling the couriers with extreme care.
➢ Delivering the couriers at the correct addresses and to the correct person with enough authentication.
➢ Returning the undelivered couriers to the concerned office authorities.
➢ Sending detailed report of the completed work to the supervisor on daily basis.
➢ Active in handling computer and related devices such scanner.
➢ Flexible and quite comfortable to work in a fast paced surrounding.
➢ Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record.

All round great company self owned business so it pays well if you do well long days but well worth it the people are mostly great depending on the day of course.

Some days you get 200+ parcels to deliver with driving 1-2 hours out of the way just to deliver some of them and then other days you just get 70-90 parcels and that is a short day but you still have to stay back to collect more parcels that afternoon could be like 20+ more parcels and then stay back until 6 to clock off and if you do not finish all your parcels that day it stacks up the next day and so on until its all finished so overtime could be due on the weekend if you are having a slow week.

Fastway cover themselves with everything, after the cost of the franchise, if a package goes missing after you have caged it in the afternoon they will split the cost between you and the truck driver. COSTLY
Hiring of the scanner, paying for the depot staff to throw your packages in your area COSTLY
Every week they take money out of your pay for anything. If a customer rings and wants their package straight away they use another freight company to deliver it because YOU of course are already out doing deliveries THAT is a $40 cost to....you guessed it, YOU.
You work your guts out for $1,500 a week and out of that comes the cost of your van, fuel, insurance, phone (which never stops) would NEVER recommend this type of work to anyone.

Owner/operator. Deliver 50-100 parcels then pick up any outgoing freight. Swap any local freight in depot. Deliver any local freight. This process occurs 3 times a day. Need exceptional organisational skills and good time management. The most enjoyable part of the job is being busy and meeting new people every day. There is no hard part to the job as we have a great team of people around and if any problems occur they are solved with good communication skills/explanation to the customer. Customer satisfaction promotes a healthy business.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I worked with sam contractor. He didnot give my money that i have worked. 
They only think to eat  staff money . Not good company to work.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It give 110 parcels a day to deliver and always wants to pay low in hours . They just givr 8 hrs just $160 for delivering 110 parcels in a day .

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
. Toilet is very bad in condition..The warehouse is full of dust . And unprofessional people inside warehouse .

It’s been a year since I have been a courier franchisee of western Sydney, Nsw, which was one of my biggest mistake buying a franchise. They don’t give you any opportunity of running your business your own way a part from just writing your name in the papers. Running cost is going up and their prices are going down, they sell a franchise by offering different parcel rate and once a year is passed they come up with new terms in which it is impossible to run business and you end up saying goodbye to them this way they get an opportunity to sell franchise to some new person and make money out of it

- Under-resourced, overworked, underpaid.
- No appreciation or feedback from management.
- Overall broken structure and system.
- Terrible place for employee mental health (i'm sure absolutely ALL employees would agree)
- Management place unrealistic demands on staff.
- Days go quick.
- Entire day revolves around fixing 'issues' because of broken processes/procedures/systems. Can't make the business better because of too many 'band-aid fixes'
- Entire organisation needs proper strategic realignment and INVESTING IN STAFF which Fastway fails so horribly to do.

This company has cost me money, the management just take take take. They are bullies, and don't care about the franchisees that work hard every day. If a parcel goes missing, it goes to claim almost straight away, without giving you the opportunity to find where it is, so you end up paying out money where you probably shouldn't.  You work long hours for little return. Haven't had a pay rise in 3 years. When you need help with anything, they are very reluctant to help, or just don't bother. They are just lazy.

I have attended the info session and analysed the opportunity thoroughly. 

My finding is that the initial costs total around $75K, incl buying a van, incorporating a company, legal advice, buying stationery pack and uniforms etc. 

If you then allow for best case scenario, and pay yourself at minimum wage out of Director's fees, your time to recover the investment is around 9 years and 8 months. 

Very poor proposition indeed.

I lost a lot of money over the Year I worked for this company.
It was hard work and if you are not selling the commission is limited to the deliveries.  At around a dollar a delivery every two Kilometres over 150 Kilometres a day there was no time or energy to get out there and look for new business like was expected from you!  No help from management just plenty of talk.  there was supposed to be a sales person but she was put out of work as they could not afford her.
