 I started working with them about 22 years ago.
 Now they have applications on line, not know how easy/difficult they are but am told they're fairly easy/simple to do.
 The job is often hard & thankless but pay is good & we often get to watch the concerts off to 1 side of the stage.
 It can lead to traveling with bands & some of my co-workers have traveled the world.
 You don't need qualifications and skills to start at ground level but you do to travel with the bands. E.g. video technician,  lighting and audio technicians, just to name 3 options but there are several more.
 Theatre skills & tent/marque skills are also bonuses (not essential to get a job with us) but can aid in extra work at E.P.A. as we also hire out to theatres & event functions not just concerts.
 P.S. having additional skills/qualifications like truck licences, fork tickets, scaffold tickets ect... are very handy as again they greatly increase chances of more work.

Great opportunity for an insight into how large concert events are put together as you will be assisting production companies in the set up of shows with big names such as Taylor swift across Perth venues including RAC Arena, and Optus Stadium.

Unfortunately since new ownership I have experienced a very poor cultural environment with some crew members defaming other crew members of their work performance, and office staff including management providing me false statements, incorrect information or questioning why I should get shifts...very unprofessional in my opinion and you should not make any employee new or old feel like they are not worthy. I feel after 10 years' as local crew personnel across two states and 3 years' experience as a Lighting Tech at the worlds leading production company, I deserve shifts over others.. in particular new people... especially if the rest of the crew that have a background similar to mine are all on the shifts... 

Call it entitlement, I call it fairness.

• events include: - variety of international & national bands
- Big day out
- Stereosonic
- Day on the green
-Disney on ice
• perform duties at various sites; including:
-Adelaide entertainment centre
-AAMI stadium
-Adelaide oval
-McLaren vale venues
-Wayville showgrounds
• conduct duties within a team of up to 200 crew members
• perform minor scaffolding setups, setting to first baseline
• assist with manual loading and unloading equipment from trucks
• under instruction, set up various types of lighting (including pyrotechnics), and sound equipment (cables, speakers, etc.)
• liaise with management and safety advisors and report any issues
• maintain duty of care for others and adhere to safety requirements

What is the best part of working at the company?
It was always so exciting because of the atmosphere. I really enjoyed it. If it wasn't for COVID mainly effecting the go a-head for future gigs I would still be doing it.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part of the whole job was probably the newbies starting off, it could get pretty dangerous at times.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Amped, charged. Adrenaline pumping 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very physically demanding but such an experience all round each and every time.

we set up stages for bands coming into our fantastic city,
in this time I have learned to be a good team member ,a good listener, also restraint and integrity working in a workplace with constant celebrity presence.
the people I work with are polite and friendly always ready to help when required, even under extreme pressure,
hardest part of the job is the inconsistency of the hours and times, I cannot support myself or my family in this way.
the most enjoyable part is the atmosphere

I worked casual with the EPA team for around 3 yrs,unfortunately I haven't had any work for over two years, so not sure what happened there I was always early and worked hard and worked well with the team, I guess they wanted younger prettier workers I'm guessing.I worked my butt off working the call ins and call outs never late stayed behind if needed,so who knows i do miss working there but that's life.

Over the years, I've enjoyed working with and meeting many interesting people and visiting artists from all over the world.
Overall, it has been a fabulous ( but poorly paid ) and at times dangerous vocation.
But my recent work place injuries and deteriorating relations with some members of my fellow workers and management finally convinced me to seek employment elsewhere.

worst conditions when outdoors in extreme weather conditions

I love working for EPA. It's a fun job, most of the people are amazing people to work with, they're fun, they treat you well. The hours you work are amazing, you work all over Perth rather than the same place everyday. It is probably my favorite job of all my jobs. The only down side is that it's only seasonal work, so if there are no concerts to set up, there is no work.

When you're on standby you have to stand around, no sitting, and looking busy is the most difficult part. socialising with the crew on standby is awesome, its great banter, always some laughs. when your working expect to sweat your ring out, its repetitive, there's lot of lifting and it gets hot in the RAC Arena.
Just be sure to look out for your crew and communicate and they'll look out for you.
