Responsibilities
	Responsible for day to day tasks for providing support including maintenance & troubleshooting for enterprise Networks
	Implementation, Installation of network devices and Troubleshooting / Technical Support of LAN, WAN & WLAN
	Configuration audits of newly installed network devices such as Routers, Switches, ASAs
	Responsible for monitoring of Alarms, events logs, traffic monitoring trends using Solar wind , Wire shark to identify
       Root cause of anomalous activity.     
	Updating Change Administrator about Telstra Planned Event Notifications, to create necessary changes for the deactivation of alerts for the effected networks, Site details (Effected Sites), duration of activity, severity level of Impact and Circuit IDs.
	Initiate, plan and implement changes through Change Management System, using ITIL Change Management Processes.
	Generating the Daily Morning Reports about the Network and all sites, by checking the recent Incidents and Service Requests on ITSM.
	Configuration audits of newly installed network devices such as Routers, Switches, ASAs.

If you like feeling like you're in a modern-day sweatshop answering phones, being abused by customers, being under trained for the job and following protocol so closely you get penalized for trying to help a customer and not transfer them, this is the job for you.
Got kids and need flexible rostering? Hahah nope.
Use public transport and don't want to be penalised because the train is delayed? Look elsewhere.
They actually monitor staff activity so closely they can run a report of how many toilet breaks you take outside of your breaks, and they will bring it up at your reviews.


Management spend more time on coffee breaks or smokok than on the floor helping staff, openly bully staff for not meeting KPIs that are set unrealistically high or being sick and unable to come to work.
I legit had my manager demanding I supply med certs while in hospital on the day.

If your choices were staying on centerlink or EA, stay on centerlink over working at  this place.

Great people and a supportive environment to begin with, training was spot on and EA continued to invest greatly in the training side of things during my time there. We all remained in the one team after our initial training was completed and had a supportive and knowledgeable team manager, upon completion of the second part of our training approx 4 months later the team was divided and then things got real, the job was no longer about resolving issues but more about hand balling them along and hoping the customer would go away. The systems used were clunky and not user friendly, and prone to freezing and very cumbersome to use. Team members were great though and support readily available when required. The tier two team managers had no industry experience like our initial tier 1 team manager had so she remained the go to person for most. Would recommend EA to others as the good outweigh the bad.

The new managers are atrocious, unless your in with the clique of managers, you will get nowhere. They hold you to their behaviours and values, yet don’t stand by them themselves. 
They talk about confidential information with their other manager friends, and unless you ‘play the game’ your not going to last. 
They would rather keep people that get feedback every day for not doing their job correctly after 7 years, than someone that speaks up, makes a bit of noise, and has respect for themselves. 
They also show no loyalty whatsoever, making people redundant that have been there for years, over people that have only just been hired externally. 
No loyalty at all, and don’t hold their own heads up to their behaviours and values - RUN 

From a Billing Officer I was developled to be a Team Leader. My Peers and Management were supportive of my progress and I practically grew with the company learning many skills on my way up.
I have learnt to manage people and to be tolarent. One of the skills that I am best at is my listening skills and dispute resolution.
I am highly professional in my communication with my staff, peers, management, customers and stake holders.
As I was in the Data Exception team I ran reports from SAP and analyse data and have recommended many a system changes to reduce cost for the company. I enjoy this part of my job and also communicating with the team on a daily basis and improving the quality of work and making the work place an enjoyable place for everyone.

I worked in the call center for Energy Australia in the newly built building in Geelong. Typically I'd start anywhere from 8-10am down on the waterfront, spending most of the day on the phone answering incoming queries, bill inquiries, and complaints from multiple customers. I worked with management and other staff through meetings and upgrades. 
The hardest part of the job was definitely dealing with complaints coming from customers about bills and service orders.
The most enjoyable part of this job was definitely making customers feel valued and well treated, getting a compliment for doing well was always a nice feeling.
Could get a little monotonous at times but overall not too bad a place to work.

Not to sounds bias, this company is by far the best company I have worked for. The support and inclusiveness it provides for its employees are amazing. Great work location or work from home. Strong focus on health and well being.

A typical day at work generally involved between 20-40 calls, with us expected to convert half the calls into sales.
One of the major things i learned while working at EA was how important stopping and listening to the person your talking to really is.
The management was decent.
The culture at EA was excellent. We'd have weekly competitions and gatherings nearly every couple months to celebrate being the best sellers.
The hardest part of the job was definitely learning how to sell a product consistently, every day reaching your target and staying motivated.
The competitions of getting the most sales per week were always very enjoyable, as were the other employees.

EA is a fantastic company! However in my department the the head did not have anything to say but a toy to their subordinates. There were no solutions if the employee raised an issue about their line managers! Very biased and absolutely stressful environment. Leaders do not trust their people and always talk disgusting behind them. Very toxic and unpleasant. I hope one day this department will remove those toxic people from the position and create a healthy workplace. 

I worked EA for 11yrs . In that time i seen numerous near misses & serious injuries. Nepotism is rife in the organisation.Butt kissing will get you further & more advancement than experience.I have seen employees keep jobs even after they have been caught stealing power,materials,& booking in hours that they haven't worked.This i have witnessed from supervisors to field workers.I have seen employees waste a days work doing nothing so they can get night work on double time and the next day off on standdown with pay.
