Elders Real Estate

A typical day consisted of performing all aspects of Property Management. I commenced as Receptionist and completed my Real Estate Certificate during this time, which enabled me to progress into a position initially as Property Assistant and then Property Manager.  My co-workers were very passionate and supportive of each other.  It was a small team and the ability to work closely as part of that team as well as independently was essential.  Matching the right properties with the right people was a most enjoyable part of this position, as was the requirement to comply with industry compliance.   I enjoyed the 'people' aspect of this position and meeting and dealing with owners, tenants and tradespeople.

My experience as a worker was absolutely horrible. The boss verbally, emotionally and socially abuses her workers and manipulates workers to do so many illegal things.

If I owned a property through the owner of Elders Hornsby I would very quickly consider using a different real estate to take care of your property.

If you are a tenant with Elders I would advise making sure they aren't asking you for money you do no owe as they are very unprofessional and the accountant is a blatant liar and manipulator himself.

The company is corrupt and the worst experience I have ever had in any work environment.

My role as Property Manager for the last 12 years has generally been an enjoyable experience until recently.  Guiding and supporting my approximately 150 client base though the process of leasing their investment properties has been both challenging and rewarding.
I enjoyed making new connections be it through owners of property or tenants that rent them.  The hardest part of the role would have been the conflict resolution and informing clients to spend money to maintain their investments.

Enjoyable place to work friendly Management team.  Part of Community village environment. Speaking to customers was one of the most enjoyable part of the job, providing them with the knowledge of the local area. Hardest part of the job was the time the Proprietors were retiring and decided to  close the business.

 A typical day at work included.Processing documents for settlement of properties sold and  creating New brochures for New properties which were listed. Organising open inspections with clients.

A typical day at work - meeting clients, filing, creating new property advertisements, assisting in lease signings, advertising for local news papers.
What i learnt - Accounts (payable and receivable), advertising skills and techniques, basic real estate skills, time and money management.
Most enjoyable part of the day- meeting new people, marketing and catching up with coworkers

I enjoyed my job with Real Estate, i learned a lot with how to deal with a wide range of people from various backgrounds.
I took my job serious but there would always be someone in the office who would critise any work i achieved.

Loved my job, team and my bosses.  Was there for a few year and enjoyed my roll and looked after a sales team of 7, helped the rental department and was nominated best receptionist of the year for all of the Elders Real Estate in WA.  Great Job, Great Team.

The people are great to work with, lots of variety and extensive contact with various stakeholders including tenants, owners, tradies, strata and general enquiries from the public.
