Working within the ranks is an awesome privilege and a great way to learn/earn a living if living away is what you are after.  I think of this as camping every 2 weeks and have enjoyed it for the past 8 years. Have worked with a great range of people both from the office and from the field. If you are willing to learn new things then they are always willing to teach you what is needed to improve your career within the company. Hardest part of the job is for many the living away from society, but in the long run it narrows down to only having to work 2 weeks every month which is awesome as you work 6 months a year and can holiday 6 months as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed my work with Easternwell as a 2 week on 2 week off roster.  I always looked forward to seeing and working with many friends that I made within the 8 year time I had with the company. The hardest part of the job was being away for 2 weeks from your family and friends, but that was soon forgotten when you got home for 2 weeks. The most enjoyable part of the job I had with Easternwell was, the many roles you had to adapt to, to ensure that everyone goes home the way they came out.

Ten years in. No chance for promotion here. Nepotism is rife. About 18k unpaid overtime is standard. Swaggering low IQ people in authority. Poisonous culture, new hands are bullied badly. Contracts are changed without your consent. . $340 per day to work in 50 C heat with three ten min breaks over 14 hours. Sound like you?  Someone said gym and pool? Where?  No sick pay no holiday pay no rain pay half rates 1st and last day morally corrupt bosses. Your room is shared, tiny, and smelly. Gone from bearable to worthless in 2 years.  Don't get stuck here. You will be used up loose touch with friends and family and your woman will be lonely and play up. Someone had to say it.

Easternwell was a great place to work at until we lost one of our rig managers, incidents went up, however not on my tour. The new rig manager never practised what he preached and things seemed to be double standard.
My crew was wonderful, we were like a family, we got along great, and I will miss these guys dearly.
The hardest part of my job was rig moves in 50 degree heat of the australian summer in the outback, and of course coming into contact with poisonous snakes. The most enjoyable part of my job was the drilling and tripping operations, running casing, well control, and problem solving.

A fun and professional environment where I was responsible  maintaining a camp site with a safe and respected workplace culture.
There was nothing hard within my job as I  enjoyed every part of my role. I continued to learn many aspects of my role via courses and on the job training. 
My excellent communication skills has assisted me to build a good rapport with management leaders and my work colleagues.

Production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services. Cooking, and deliver food every 3 hours around the clock 24 hour service. They have ongoing  training. Certificate III in Process Manufacturing ,Certificate III in Process Plant Operations ,Certificate III Well Servicing Operations Certificate II in Engineering MEM ,Certificate Defensive Driving Skills. Safety comes first.                   

I was humiliated everyday for my different accent. Some people, surprisingly some at managerial level, always used colourful language with their employees. I hated their work culture and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.Working in such an unprofessional environment will affect your performance negatively.

Their moto is "All together better"; well said, but I didn't see "being together" nor "better" anywhere.

In the past 6 years I have worked in camps I have made a lot of friends  the people I have worked with.
Eastern Wells has been a good employer lots of safety in place the 4x4 course was fun the boys who work for santos a a good bunch
the hardest part of the job is staying out of the heat the most enjoyable part of the job is my co workers a good bunch to work with.

Typical day at work is maintaining mud system and making drilling fluid for the drilling process. We all work well together and everyone has a good understanding of what they have to do, management is always there to help and teach u in the different aspects of the job. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with good co-workers and a great company

Working in remote places i found a challenge put peaceful. EWS always looked after me when it became a family issue and i needed to get home. there was a Change in management and the family first aspect faded away and became like most companies all about the money.  Overall good mob to work for if you are keen to set yourself up for a easy cash flow life.
