I was a long term placement, the client was fantastic, can’t say the same for Drake International, the employer. I was consistently having to chase them up to extend my contract in their system, as was being blocked from entering my hours on numerous occasions , of course no hours entered, no pay. They also  reduced my public holiday pay rate considerably without notification or consultation of any kind. I created a Dispute Resolution case over this,  which was never followed through, just to provide some examples of how they treat their candidates, so if anyone is looking for casual or placement work, save yourself some headaches straight up, and see  if any other employment agency has the same role listed. They portray professionalism, my experience was far from this.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There isn't you are just a number on a spread sheet no warning when the job finishes if they don't want you any further they drop you  that day no heads up no warning really bad place to work would never work for them again horrible boss and usually sent to a even worse place to work never work for this company

Every thing especially the boss

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Horrible and toxic worst place I have ever worked the Wingfield rubbish tip is a better place if U can believe that 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Extreamly stressful not a place you want to work at

I would serve food and beverages within the corporate boxes at Hunter Stadium during football games. I would talk with the host regularly about restocking the beverages, and would communicate with the guests when appropriate.

I have learned how to communicate with a variety of people, and manage my time for serving food, and when to close off the beverages, and start cleaning. Co-workers would help cleaning if I was running late, and were supportive while I was learning.

The hardest part of the job was knowing when to close the beverage fridge, and remove the guests from the boxes. The most enjoyable was talking with different people about their life, and the game.

I worked split shift in Townsville for around 6 years.During the final 10 months before I resigned I was not provided with necessary equipment, cleansers and towels etc to get the job done effectively. Expect to improvise. Expect to buy your own stuff. Expect building renovations to permanently cut cold water to cleaning room. Expect to never be treated equally to perm employees, many of whom harass and try to intimidate you. Yes, work place bullying! Embarrassing and negligent 
communication between Drake and client. Amateur theatrics. Never again!

You may think that going to an agency for work might be weird or dodgy but Drake has helped me find work easily and I cannot thank them enough! 

Sometimes it is hard when you are on call but really that is what working for an agency is about. It got me to think about what I am doing for the next day and organise for when I may get shifts. 

Although sometimes you wont always get work, but you can always ask to do other work that doesnt need certifications or experience to do.

working for Woolworth was enjoyable and i got to experience many different job rolls and learn new Techniques in freezer, chiller and ambient. 

being the only person in the warehouse most days i was able to get more work done by challenging myself to change the warehouse to make it more productive and efficient.

stellar was a very good place for collections with 3 mobile as the client and excellent training.

Attending to a job at one to two weeks basis.  My duties were to take on duties from a Secretaries being away on a leave on a temporary basis and carry on with the smooth running of the office.

Management were always fantastic and it was great to meet variety range of people and personalities. 

 Employed in a different office and environment was exciting. 

Typical work day is office cleaning, you are learning every day something new.
Management is good, you really don't have any co-workers, you're working by yourself.
Hardest part of the job is lugging the many rubbish bags out to the bins. 
Need a trolley to put it all in to take in the lift and then out to the bins outside.
The best part of the job is the split shifts, you're home most of the day to do as you please.

After being mistreated & abused by a client, my work dropped off to nothing while more support given to offending client. Upsetting situation. 😩Left with emotional problems as a result.
