What is the best part of working at the company?
Quick shifts - 3 hours after school - Mostly require cleaning and serving. ( Easy money ) 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with your Boss and rude customers. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The other employees I worked with were very kind people who created a fun and safe work environment. Managers were easy to work with and get along well with Bosses were strict which is expected but at times would be unkind and would say certain things which made me feel bad about myself personally when I would be trying my best and doing everything they asked and following their directions but they would always find something to complain about and sometimes say something negative things about me personally. Over all ran a good business and had a positive work environment for most of the time but would personally play favourites and it would be obvious if you were not liked by them most of the time for personal reasons which had nothing to do with your work ability The responsibilities you have at this job are good overall however I personally believe the store owners and managers need to change their management style and learn to be grateful for the hard work we put into their business

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
For example after school shift 3 hours - 3:30-6:30:
responsibilities would include:
1. serving customers - making donuts, coffee, milkshakes and thickshakes and dot dogs etc. 
2. cleaning - coffee machine, donut machine, tables & chairs, donut display, hot dog and milkshake area, clean and mop floors, make ice cream and clean ice cream machine. 
3. Going to bins - In the shopping centre taking all rubbish at the end of the day to the centre bin machines which is not the best place to be alone especially as a teenage girl as their were often large group of guys hanging out in there and sometimes felt unsafe. 
4. Doing till - counting all money needed for the float tomorrow, counting all the money we made after that and printing all receipts to show our boss.  
 ( would often be made felt bad that sales were not high enough and that we didn't make enough money when it is out of our personal control of how many customers we have and how much money they spend at the donut king store. ).

Donut King improved many of my skills and qualities, I personally enjoyed working in the environment as my co-workers' workers were understanding and patient when I first started and we cooperated very well. When I arrive at work, depending on how many customers need to be served I either went straight to the counter or washed the dishes, I usually arrived at the time when the trash need to be taken out so that was usually what I did, as I worked straight after school it was usually very busy however relaxed over time. When it's time to close it was generally difficult as we still served and had to clean at the same time with just me and my trainer...Although I faced many unnecessary rude costumers, I understand as many were elderly people and learnt to ignore these comments. I enjoyed working there as the people I worked with were very understanding and cooperating, however, due to misunderstandings, I believe I was underage and had to leave.

Working at Donut King has taught me how to bond with my customers, also it has shown me my ability to work in a fast paced environment is a lot better then I expected, I work well under pressure. The manager at Donut king and I got along well, she taught me every process, recipe and basically everything I need to know. Although some of my co-workers did not like me we always worked as a team and never took our personal issues with eachother to the work place. The most difficult part of my employment at donut king was the day when all of our machines broke down and we lost power in one day, we had everything back up and running in under 3 hours. I loved my employment at donut king because it was a very social job, our bond with our customers was very important to us, and we always tried to make the customers day with a big smile, maybe a free donut here and there and always acknowledging their existence.

Working at Donut King can be a decent entry-level job, especially for students or those looking for flexible hours. The work is usually fast-paced, particularly during busy morning and lunch periods, which helps build time management and customer service skills. Tasks often include preparing food and drinks, handling cash, cleaning, and serving customers, so you gain a range of basic hospitality experience.

A typical day at work requires me to make the production every morning. Very easy, cook donuts-place donuts in window. Twice a week I will also work in the shop after a hard mornings work in the kitchen, serving customers.
I've learnt a variety of skills such as; customer service, cleanliness, working as a team and especially time management skills!
My boss is great, is always doing what he can to make sure the workplace is a happy environment for myself and my co workers. With an occasional hiccup, my boss and co workers get along easily and always carry out our day exactly how we expect it to go.
The most enjoyable part of the job is defiantly the creativity I get to indulge in when making the donuts every morning. Although certain are set to have to look a certain way, there are few my boss lets me run with my creative flow.

I work every Friday night and most of it alone I don't mind working on my own because there is always closing jobs that need to be completed, but at times it does get a little bit boring.
I've learnt a lot of things during my time working at donut king such as how to serve customers the correct way, how to handle money and giving people the correct change, making sure my work place is clean and tidy.
My co-workers are the most caring people I've ever met, if I am not sure on something id just ask them and they'd help me straight away. 
The hardest part of the job would be if I am working on my own and I have heaps of customers waiting to be served I try to make sure I get to serve each and everyone of them as quickly as I can.
The most enjoyable part of my job is just getting to meet new people create a friendship with my co-workers and getting to learn all different kinds of things.

I have a really nice boss who appreciates the effort and quality of the work we put in. 
A usual day at Donut King involves many coffees, milkshakes and Doughnuts. Time management is important so we never run out of dough, stock, or ice cream to keep our customers happy.
I am glad to have learnt certain skills that will help me with future jobs and I love being able to lead and manage the team of junior workers. 
My co-workers are now seen as friends, and I always feel happy to be working along side such positive people. 
The hardest part of the job is definitely dealing with difficult customers, although it is good to be able to find a solution to the problem so there is a positive outcome for  both parties involved.
The most enjoyable part is providing customers with exceptional service to make their day as enjoyable as possible.

Working at Donut King has been a fun experience in which I have continued to perfect skills and obtained additional skills along the journey. Having a very strong local customer base results in a continuous weekly rotation of customers and a more personal and intimate relationship with the customers. From busy days to slow days the work ethic of myself and the pace of the day makes it for a positive all-round experience and having strong support from Management and a team that can work together is fundamental to the success of the business. The only challenge I have found is doing a Bake then following through to an afternoon close of the store but overall my enjoyment of the job comes from the satisfaction of the customers that have continued to come to Donut King for their coffee be it locals to holiday makes that visit annually.

This was my first job and it was also the best. I got along very well with my co-workers and my employer was just brilliant. I enjoyed walking into work, preparing the machines for the day ahead and ensuring our display case was looking its best. Not long after trading hours starting, customers began lining up for coffee and donuts, giving me more and more experience using the coffee machine which can be tricky to use at first. In the middle of the day, I took a trolley through the shopping centre to collect more stock from our store room and then came back to refill the fridge. The hardest part of the job would have been the milkshake concoctions and remembering their ingredients. The most enjoyable part was making the cinnamon donuts.

Working at Donut King was a mixed experience. The job itself is pretty straightforward—taking orders, making coffee, and prepping donuts. It’s fast-paced during peak hours, so you learn time management quickly. The team I worked with was friendly, and that definitely helped make shifts more enjoyable.

Pay was minimum wage, which isn’t great considering how busy it can get. Breaks were short, and sometimes it felt like you were doing more than what you were getting paid for. Management varied—some supervisors were supportive, others less so.

There’s not a lot of room to grow unless you’re aiming for a supervisor role, and even that can take a while. Good for students or as a first job, but not something you’d want long-term.

Overall, it’s decent if you're looking for casual work and a steady paycheck, but don’t expect much beyond that.
