- Insane workload. Everyone is just expected to come in early/stay late and not having lunch breaks. just to try to keep up with the workload.


- The no breaks culture created by everyone being so afraid they will get behind in their work, followed by gossiping if someone takes a lunch break when the office is busy

- Backstabbing staff with a terrible work culture No one wants to be there and will express it out loud on a daily basis.

- Always understaffed, saying they're "looking for someone" for the team but no one new ever gets hired

- So much gossip by everyone, including the managers. Do not tell anyone anything unless you are OK with it being public knowledge

- NO TRAINING provided. You are expected to know everything and when you get something wrong you will be condemned even though they never bothered to teach you the correct way of doing things.

- They expect everything done the Dicker Data way but when you ask a question they will tell you to "Google it"


- No one wants to help.

- Higher ups will place any blame on your, everything is your fault.
They will finish telling you off for not doing the right thing but do it themselves.

- Racism in the workplace. Don't want to go into it but it was ugly. 

- Kurnell is far away, at first you think the commute is fine but it does really get you in the end

- Office is a gated complex in the middle of nowhere. No food on site unless you like vending machines. Nearest shops are so far away you can't really go out to buy lunch (hence the free lunch)


Advice to Management
Hire enough staff to complete the job required.

Spend the time to train your staff.

Have people in management positions that are LEADERS.

FIX the work culture, NO ONE wants to be there.

Awesome teams to work with for the most part, take safety and equipment upkeep seriously and very willing to help team mates and teach each other new things. However as with any job some incredibly entitled and lazy workers exist that can ruin moral, can be very rude and  intimidating.

 Physically demanding with high pick volumes and a wide variety of tasks to complete.

Management good for the most part, seem to work hard and  be genuinely invested in the company. Again some managers and staff need  serious personal relations training as they do not know how to interact with other people.

Overall, if you like to work consistently hard with a tight team and have a good mindset you will probably enjoy working here . But keep in mind you most likely will not be rewarded for performing in the warehouse like with other companies as KPIs or bonuses don't seem discussed.

Toxic culture. People gang up and family cover up. Managers group is not all bad apart from some. Better handle good with harassment because it happens very often. People is walking away after few months as they loose interest of working here apart from middle or old genre.

The number assigned to your name at the beginning of the quarter is your target. You learn to balance vendor events, internal training, vendor training plus you weekly meetings, emails and problems that occur due to invoicing problems and or stock issues from a vendor. The best part of the business is the people, the commitment from the people who work at Dicker Data is amazing.

Company had many benefits like shares and paid lunch every day .Very flexible with working hrs and holidays when needed . Management on the whole good but needs people who have knowledge of the people skill and work with them or let them go . playing favorites doesn't work for the reat of the people that want to work and get no help .

People are treated differently depending on your friendship with certain people...poor management skills from leading hand up to manager...rude co workers unwilling to assist you in completing your job.

Majority of my colleagues left within 12 months of starting work there. The others who stayed had been there for many years.
While working here I felt there was no chance for career progression, and there was consistent unrewarded overtime.

How to work with a remote team

Great company to work for, everyone is friendly and approachable, management are helpful and approachable, lunch is provided everyday and there's an on-site gym

Great place to work, good people, fast paced workplace. Management were good and benefits were good. Location was far for me but worthwhile to work at.
