Please avoid this place at all costs.

There are many holes in the building's roof. What are the owners doing to fix it? They put the buckets on the floor as a "temporary" measure. They never actually intend on getting it fixed.

There are no safety rules in the warehouse. You have to watch out for the trip hazards, such as cardbord boxes, foil and other equipment are scattered everywhere on the floor. During my short work there, a dead rat was found (you could clearly see it was dead for a long, long time). One of the workers just took it with his bare hands (no gloves) and threw away to the nearest trash can in the warehouse. Walls are falling apart and there are steel beams hanging above your head that look like they're about to fall (some of them look structural too). Toilets ceiling is consumed by fungus. Only cold water in the sinks.

I was embarassed to add personalization on the products in so called "French Style", as they are the cheapest possible items from China bought in bulk. Peronalization machines such as laser cutters and heat presses are in an appauling state with some handles / screws missing. I have asked numerous times for the machines to be fixed (whenever there was a problem with them) and it wasn't even acknowledged half the time, chasing it on multiple occasions only got them to be done MONTHS later. There is lack of basic gear (cables, computers), stationery and PPE, so you have to be creative (in the negative meaning), to get the job done.

I was on the 3 months "casual contract" (which had some illegal terms in it by the way relating to my holiday such as no accrual and unpaid holiday). Until the last day I didn't know, if I would get an extension despite chasing multiple times. In the morning I was told my meeting with one of the owners would be at 4pm (shift ending at 5pm). That person showed up at 4:55pm telling how busy it was in the warehouse (owners are just standing behind the workers controlling how and what they are doing). It was pure disrespect towards me, as that person just could tell me, or ask somebody else to do it, our meeting would be moved in time.

The most bizzare thing in this company is how the owners (as they have separate offices with big windows, so you can see inside when working in the office building) have big tv screens (around 50") on the walls, with cameras showing all the workers in the building (both inside of the office and warehouse). When they are bored, they zoom in on the selected camera and watch exactly what they are doing. Once I was working on the product personalization (in the room next to owners room), I could see how they are watching me on the whole screen. It was really awkward. You don't know what they are saying behind your back and it just seems really disrespectful.

During the busy periods (November, December) they force you to work 7days per week (it starts with just Saturdays, to then make it the WHOLE month without any break days). The payment for the "extra" days and hours (yes, during the week you're also required to stay longer) is just your standard pay. Saying that you can't come in has no effect and can lead to disciplinary action from their side.

Again, stay far away from this company.

Expect you to work till about 8pm every night even though your contract says 9-5pm and they will get rid of you if you cannot do that. Do not care about their customers orders whatsoever I actually felt embarrassed working there. They do not do a stationary order and you will be sat waiting around not being able to do a simple task because a lack of stationary there is no organisation within the business at all. Building is basically falling to pieces there’s no safety in place. The two who run it are extremely rude and do not care about their staff at all. Whilst working their I witnessed almost all their orders wrong or damage to the items. Would not recommend to work here at all

There was never a set time for you to start work you was always told a time to start work the evening beforehand & when you did start work you never knew what you was doing for that day you could be stood around twiddling your thumbs for 10/20 mins waiting for another colleague or the boss to come and show you what they wanted you to do. 

Bad points:
•Overall management is terrible.
•Only 1 break a day at 1:00pm for 30mins.
•Place of work was unsafe.
•warehouse was never kept clean.
•No health and safety rules were in place.
•Health and safety risks all over the warehouse.

Good points:
•There isn’t any.

This company profits from selling cheap chinese tat to elderly customers  by saying it's French.

Their lack of interest in customers is blatant in every department, and their lack of love for their staff is even clearer. A slight misdemeanour means a staff member is sacked abruptly and never seen again. Warehouse has it worst, followed by customer service and the copywriters.

You work ridiculous hours with no thanks for peanuts, and do so in a miserable, worn out, leaking old shack of a building that's full of dust, collapsed toilet cubicles and old weaving machines. If you value your health, stay away.

I am currently working at dibor since 2015 and have progressed in my carrier . Dibor is small family business and owners appreciate good workers.  I have known few people working for the same family from 30 years and this tells something about the owners.  It is disappointing to see people who got sacked due to their performance or lack of professionalism or not have the right attitude showing their frustration here  and misleading new talent.

I enjoyed working at dibor and learned so much there. Unfortunately had to leave due to change of house as moved to London .  The management work closely with the staff and they are very approachable and professional  .

I have worked at Dibor for 7 years and been working there since i left university . I have started as apprentice but i now managing team of 5 people.  Dibor has given me the freedom and space to express my views and make changes with my department.

The pay is decent and extra work available which is good to get extra money for Christmas .  The staff discount is 40% and there is such huge selection of personalised gifts that you end up saving so much .  This has been my dream job.

It is very busy warehouse in the festive period but everybody in the warehouse work as a team to get through the madness.  I worked on temporary contract in the November and December and it was good experience.

I am working in the warehouse from last year and it has gone so quick.  Every day we are learning something new and the pension scheme is really good with the company.
