Great people, great culture, great products, it was a challenging and rewarding role. I always take ownership of my role and loved it, it was nice being client side and still having some creative input into liquids and packaging development. Packaging was always my favourite type of project, it had a long shelf life compared to Point of Sale projects.

Diageo has fantastic brands and has a true 'people development' focus. They continue to look at cost efficiencies, so are becoming a little too streamlined in staffing now in many areas, which puts work:life balance at risk.
The culture of the business is very energetic and youthful, and quite progressive.

Sales heavy, they train well, and aim to prepare you for different situations. There were quite some changes in management in my time. 
It depends on where you work. If you work regional there is less space for growth and less perks, but there is also a lot of trust and freedom. 
Overall they do their best to take good care of you.

Great place to start off as a BDM. However, it gets monotone ticking boxes to please head office. You'll be judged on the numbers, which is fair, but if you're half decent you'll soon outperform what is possible in your role and your commission will become almost unattainable. 

I was prejudiced from advancement for having a large family / children . My direct report was actively working against me . Tried to remove me for a friend/ personal contact . I resigned over this issue with my poor boss .

Great school for upskilling yourself; demanding and dynamic environment with an energetic, young team. Great emphasis on diversity and inclusion from the leadership team. Pay structure and progression is not the fairest.

The people that worked there were very good. It felt like family. My work colleagues were very good and everyone is there to assist you if any issues. We had the work-life balance to work from home when needed.

Good company to work, people were very nice and good wages.

The hardest part is the long standing hours.

You come to know all the Australian alcohol names.

I loved working at Diageo, it was a fun place to work with great culture. All my colleagues were very switched on. Management was very supportive of everyone and we had their backing and support.

Great remuneration package!
Competitive base salary to market, above market for Superannuation. Bonus for all employees.

People on ground level are great to work with, very collaborative and hard working.
