I have worked for Daughterly Care on and off for 9 years as a 24 hour live in carer! It is challenging to live in the clients home for long periods but very rewarding and a privilege to be able to care for someone on a one to one basis and to mainrtain their lifestyle as appropriate. 
Continued and renewel of education and opportunities exist and management is very on hand to assist at all times. Trust and integrity are important as the families rely on you with their loved one and management of financial and confidential matters.
I really enjoy the stories and history of the clients and the privilege of sometimes being with them till the end.
I do miss my home and sometimes family celebrations but feel my job is important and the friendships I build with clients and their families is so rewarding. I've worked in all areas of the Aged Care industry and prefer working for this company and appreciate the encouragement and recognition they provide!

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working with the clients is wonderful.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The management and supervisors are incompetent and have no regard for compassion or duty of care to workers. Especially the live in care workers. 
Working 24/7 hr shifts 7/7 and no breaks at all or support. It’s very stressful. And not enough money. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Pathetic . And demeaning to workers who make the Company a lot of money. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Clients are great but working in the office is like being thrown in with crocodiles . A lot of backstabbing and innuendos being thrown about.

Now retired > Having worked with the company for 11 years as an in home carer and hourly carer for males and females I can say my clients were a cross section of ability’s and mental capacity’s. The training and support from DC enabled me to care for clients in hospitals, nursing homes, palliative in home care, private homes and on many excursions within the community. As an in home carer usually 4 or 3 days a week you quickly establish connections with your client you become their support and companion. My experience was never dull as I enjoyed sharing my capabilities and making the elders life more stimulating. 

Exceptional training is provided to all staff. While I was working their the owners provided staff with massages on a fortnightly basis to assist with morale and negate the impacts of working at a desk all day. This is one of the few aged care companies I would work at. The companies ceo is the most hard working, honest and driven women I have ever met. The whole team goes above and beyond to provide information to prospective clients that other companies tend to hide and to tailor their services around the clients needs. These women are truly changing their sector for the better.

The people we care for and the bonds you achieve with those clients. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Too many chiefs and backstabbing staff. 
No care or respect amongst senior staff. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Absolutely  appalling .What’s good for one is never good for all types of attitudes.

Good at times but stressful at other times

The clients are all exceptionally lovely and treat the carers with respect and
appreciate our help.
I learnt a great deal from showering, dementia training etc
Management - well I agree with previous comment "my way or the highway" when describing management.  CEO, business manager and no one in between to assist staff.
I found the job easy and most enjoyable

I filled out an application form which asked questions about my skills and availability. I was invited to an interview in Narrabeen.  I met with the Recruitment Manager & the Rostering team.  I was able to ask questions without feeling silly.  Once I was employed, I was offered online and face to face training to help me feel competent. The office staff are really supportive and I feel excited to be part of this company.

Daughterly Care are always giving employees a lot of training opportunity's.  I have been able to build up my port folio with certificates through the training and also have learnt a lot.  The management and staff are very good I have had no problems with them at all.  My enjoyment with this work is it is satisfying knowing that I have achieved a good relationship with the client and been able to help the needs of the elderly.
