Peak periods can be full-on in every department. Meal periods are the busy times particularly before shows and festive occasions. Shifts are available 24/7 so unless your area is not open 24/7, expect to be available for those shifts. So you really need a driver's license.
Quality of people is very high.
Customer-focus is everywhere.
Many fantastic regular customers. Local, interstate and overseas. 
Workplace culture was very supportive during my many years there. Post-takeover (2022) I cannot say. But its the people you work with that make or break the experience. My experience was fantastic - loved it.
The hardest part of the job could be;
1. The shift work but I adapted.
2. The busiest times are crazy busy. Generally though good teams are everywhere so you all pull through.
The most enjoyable part of the jobs I had were the relationships I developed with staff I came to trust and care for because of their commitment and work ethic, humour and preparedness to do what needs to be done - together.

After working here at crown for 2 years as an apprentice chef I got a good understanding of how they run there business. I personally feel they lie and deceive alot of there customers about being 'premium' if you truly worked behind the scenes you would see that crown really is no different from your other restaurants, yes the plates up is fancy and they like to sell you over priced food. I will give them this much depending on the restaurant you work in and how the chefs are brought up with there cooking skills you can get some amazing food there.
I just personally found there apprenticeship program a bit of a joke and they try to sugar coat it with a higher pay rate, but for what? I was ingaged starting fresh willing to learn and be molded into what i was hoping a perfessional 5 star chef. But instead I got bullied thrown down and my learning progression wasnt targeting the goals i had in mind, they didnt really cater for what i wanted from the experiances and all honesty your better of learning from a tafe course and doing a on the job somewhere else, I found the bigger the company the easier it is to lose track of there employees.....
I wont go into to much gory details but lets just say that alot goes down behind the scenes at crown.....

I really enjoyed working for Crown Casino - apart from all the benefits - our team of co-workers and our managers all worked really well together so it made our job so much easier. I only resigned as I wanted to gain experience in working in overseas casinos particularly in the UK as I have always wanted to live here and am looking forward to any new challenges which come my way.
A typical day started with arriving at work a little ahead of time so as not to be rushed
Apart from the jobs skills such as dealing and calculating odds quickly and accurately,verifying currency and computed playable odds to pay winning bets and how to handle large sums of cash, I really learned a lot in customer service skills.
Our aim was to always provide our clients an enjoyable experience at Crown while behaving in a professional and friendly manner at all times.
The hardest part of the job was the occasional upset or aggressive customers but I found if I remained calm they usually settled down also. With big wins a stake we had to sometimes handle difficult situations so we had to remain calm and confident in our abilities.Our training from Crown gave me these skills.

I like my shift working hours and it suits my current lifestyle with one school going teenage kid. Been working as dealer closes to 10 yrs, and has been full time for 4 years. Its hard to switch or find another job that is able to pay my current rate at $39.06 per hour. You will be provided with 2 meals per shift, free laundered/clean uniforms and subsidised staff car parking (but I hardly used the staff car park coz I work night shifts that having free and by parking off the street). You are rostered according to your minimum working hours either part time or full time. I am a full time dealer and rostered 152 hours per every 4 weeks roster. You can pick up shifts from other dealers or Crown Windows either directly or from online Crown Mobile App. You can giveaway or swap shifts between/among dealers. There are 3 typical standard shift working hours, 1. Morning shift 4am till 12 noon, 2. Day shifts 12 noon till 8pm and 3. Night shifts 8pm till 4am.

I believe the several years I have worked and developed good communication skills and organisation skills at my current work place Crown Melbourne and I have achieved Emerging Excellence Award within 6 months of joining. I am a Graduate in Computer sciences and have advanced knowledge of creating, processing and modifying different Microsoft Office Suites. At my current job I easily communicate with customers who are from a very diverse ethical and cultural background and different ages, I have learnt these skills and try to pick up new skills and information from my superiors and other work colleague’s these qualities made my manager and team members to nominate to an award. At any given time, I stick to the rules, policies and regulation in place and strictly follow them as they are for the benefit of the organisation and society, I can strongly say I follow the set guidelines and keen to learn new technologies and adapt to new environments and systems at work place quickly.

A typical day would involve dealing with customers who are losing money, so customer service is very important, no matter your personal problems. I have learned to be very thick skinned and put up with all kinds of abuse from customers. Senior managers Table Games and above are normally very communicative and nice, table supervisors and pit bosses have huge attitudes and see themselves better than dealers and speak down to you. The hardest part of the job is the shift work especially night shift in winter. The best part is the free food, free parking, free uniforms, perks with staff discounts around the resort.
The trap is the fact that once your in and know your job well, it becomes repetitive and boring especially standing on your feet on boring tables. It also effects your neck, shoulders and back with repetitive strain 

Not one day is the same, everyday something new happen and we have to adopt to new players, new situations and new procedures at work. We learned about government legislations regarding to gambling, RSA, money transactions etc. Many different managers using different style of management, sometimes a little bit challenging to know what is exactly expected of person. Co-workers are great, many people from different country, great experience and multicultural diversity. The hardest part of job would be taking people money (but that is part of our job), sometimes they lose a lot of money after which is hard to predict their behavior. The most enjoyable part of job is diversity, many people from different countries and different cultures, new experiences every day.

Being able to work for Crown Perth was both convenient and rewarding. As most jobs are shift base, it allows students to study and work concurrently.
My customer service skills improved exponentially as I deal with customer on a face to face basis. Further training was provided for resolving conflict.
During my employment at burswood I met many great friends, some of which I still keep in constant contact. My previous supervisor at Burswood is still my mentor to this day and continuously encourages me to improve myself.
The hardest part is also the shift work, as some of the role times are haphazard. At times the turn around time could be as short as 10hours between shift.
The most enjoyable factor are the people you work with and customer you meet as you will not find a more colorful range of people anywhere else.

Having worked at Crown Melbourne for a number of years & having had the best experience - I'm so glad that this has continued at Crown Sydney with what is truly one of the worlds finest hotels and most amazing entertainment complexes. All the frontline teams & support services are so passionate, engaged & love what they do. Recruitment was a great experience for myself, and then having recruited for a number of roles - passion & experience have been key principles recruitment have sought out. 24/7 shift work is obviously commonplace in hospitality but the best thing about Crown is that it's always busy, no shift will ever be boring & there is plenty of support despite the hour.
