Job was to call businesses to sell them advertising in NSW Kidsmart Handbooks.  While the actual commission percentage was quite high, you are cold-calling businesses which they do not appreciate so you go through a lot of abuse and are lucky to sell one spot per week which would barely cover commuting expenses if you use public transport, but would make you go backwards if you drove.  Definitely not worth it.  This was 20 years ago though, so may have improved since then, although have noticed they are still advertising it as commission only work, but are claiming most people earn $72k per year which is an outright lie.

Nice place, lovely co workers and teams, big fun team. I like the products it's nice and refreshing to wok on emergency services type projects and products, like street smart handbook and ses volunteers.  Comfortable income for me  around 900 per week since starting, more than my previous role for sure. no pressure from anyone, no strict kpi's. I like it. Good for someone wanting sales experience fast.

A good opportunity to join the sales team with no sales or customer service experience. Appreciate the support and ongoing training and development I get. 12 weeks in the role now, I think you got to be a bit patient particularly if you don’t have sales experience, my commissions are ok, could be better. the vibe is super energetic and lively. Love the atmosphere and people. Worth considering if you want to break into the sales industry or call centre environment. Street smart publication is amazing to sell sponsorship on.

Countrywide Austral's management team has looked after me really well since starting here 2 years ago. The vibe in the office is awesome and makes working here a breeze, unlike most office jobs. Everyone here is really approachable and inviting, and being surrounded by so many highly skilled sales people has given me the keys needed to find success in the sales industry. This is the perfect company for someone entering sales as a beginner as the training is solid and there's tonnes of talented sales people to learn plenty from.

It's good no doubt about it you probably need some time to get into the swing of things.  But in a couple of weeks your settled I think. I love street smart fantastic product. Was only here for a couple of months, actually  got the experience I needed Here,  and recently  landed another pretty awesome sales role with a bank in their call centre.  So thanks to countrywide austral for Giving me the opportunity to work here and for training me up and giving me the call centre sales experience I needed to get my new job.

New to sales good start for launching my sales career. couldn’t get a sales role before this one. fantastic induction learning heaps,  It’s a very full on sales role, learning the nuts and bolts of sales like, products objections handling different sort of sales technique etc. Love the experience so far. Commissions are a bit light so far But definitely moving up with my experience and success in the role. Love be it.

It's a great role for me, I am having lots of fun, earning great money, great training and development, products are pretty awesome, I feel like the role has actual purpose, so I'm selling sponsorship to support community orientated publications for emergency services across the country and it's so fast passed. There's like thousands of companies that support the publications and you spend heaps of time on the phone talking to them
