When I worked here, I worked hard day in and day out and yet, I had nothing to show for it, I didnt receive a pay rise, a promotion, I didn't receive a thing. My reward was being fired for and I quote "taking a break to close to the end of your shift" As if i had a choice because my section was understaffed, so i'd have to wait for the afternoon shift so I could have a break  which was close to the end  of my shift but they didn't care and fired me anyway.

 They didn't listen, didn't care and fired me for something that in all honestly would've been sorted if my section wasn't understaffed. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The company pays for your hardwork. There is nice staff here. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Just normal production or picking or loading.
Risk of falling chicken sometimes on slippery floor by mistake. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good and clean work environment and work according to documentation. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
GOOD! Just more walking and move some load.

Busy your flat out not allowed to stand around some head people great some not so good management seperate your factory treat staff different good people you work with different sections I enjoyed while was there am on call now no work for 3 weeks has its quiet periods if you have to much time off they will get rid of you 

Very busy and deadlines to meet.
Learning different tasks on the computer.
Work with great people.
When short staffed was always a hard task to meet deadlines.
Love the people I work with we all know what has to be done and work well together as a team.

I wouldn't recommend working for them for safety reasons it's a highly fast paced environment and pallet jack operates in your packing area. Whilst packing the process doesn't slow down and you can easily get hit by chickens if you are not careful plus most workers are non English making communication skills difficult 

The labelling section is abhorrent. Management will give you no training then blame you for not doing your job correctly. The floor staff are bullies and seem to have forgotten the words "please & thanks" and you often end up working back 3 to 4 hours later than you are scheduled. 

Related to other Poultry processors  this company falls short , My honest opinion is that the chickens get treated better than the employees.
Who was it that said look after your employees and they will look after the company, no one at Girraween   cordina  plant that is for sure.

I would never give a false review so it pains me a bit when I say Cordina Chicken's is without doubt the most dangerous and worst conditions I have ever worked in since I started working from 1981.
Pay is Minimum wage at every turn. 
My Supervisor pay on only 23.50hr. (joke). 
All the Forklifts are in Constant Disrepair
 and never serviced

The work place isn’t really a fun place as it’s a chicken farm and dirty, anyhow the workers and supervisors make it a fun place to work in and I currently love my job but want to upgrade as our family is increasing.

Busy but enjoyable 
My job gave me various administration tasks from data entry to bank reconciliation 
I also enjoyed customer service and duties with assisting other departments
My reason for leaving was relocation
