Upon arriving it all looked friendly, the art dept had a small cubicle area stuck in the corner, no windows. People would arrive from different departments with their work, supposed to talk to the Manager of the Art Dept to organise the priority of each job but the manager that I had was going through some issues with management and left within a week of me arriving. We were then a group of two full timers and 2 casuals. Jobs were in the intray and we were on our own. A new manager arrived in a week, and I know they meant well but they too began to have issues with some managers and they were sent to head office in the city and were there for a month then left. We had been getting emails from him letting us know which jobs were were to be doing and once he left we again were on our own. 2 casuals left we got 2 more. It was now the other full timer was sent to the city to take over the job there as their managers were needing someone there. I was then left there as the only full timer and found myself having to stay back and was given a cab voucher to get home they got me pizza and drinks as well. But was promised time in lieu but that never happened as we were too busy and I was still the only full timer left and just had the 2 casuals coming in different days to help out with the ongoing work. I became stressed out and then that person in the city left and I was next to go to the city. I found that I was staying back 3 times a week for 2 or 3 hours and my time in lieu was never handed over. I got sick and was advised to leave or my health was going to suffer so I left and got an awesome real job which looked after any overtime by paying me that and organising my day off once a week as I did stay back each friday and monday. I was grateful. plus cab vouchers and free dinner. 
Pay was not the best at computershare 

Due to the important role but relatively small size of the Treasury team members' tasks were quite diverse which made everyday interesting. The diverse range of responsibilities however, did mean that when it was very busy strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise became critical and could pose a real challenge. There was a considerable amount of communication with the commercial business. This allowed the team to form strong and effective working relationships with the business and resulted in a broad understanding of the different business and department functions supporting Treasury's effectiveness at engagement. The organisation had a open desk policy which I believe promoted good communication between departments.

Prioritizing the days job, allocating staff with their work for the day, running the mailing machine.I learned how to run a machinery and other equipment. The management is very supportive with everyone. The workplace culture is positive and safe in every way as the management always giving us time to work under OH&S policy. The hardest part of the job is when the machine broke down and you have to meet a deadline for that day and cannot do anything about it but to wait for the technicians to fix the problem.The most enjoyable part of the job is we always have the chance to learn new trades as the management always support the people who wants to learn new trades.

At Computershare there were various Teams where each had different roles that impacted on other teams. I learned various roles in the company and improved my skills especially working with excel. I worked with three different teams under different Team Leaders. Each role was different and allowed me to gain more experience in each role. I originally started in the mailroom as a casual opening mail, moved on to Full time processing shares and auditing. Then on to processing various documents. I then moved to Payment support where I printed cheque payments, processed client requests and then processed direct credit payments for clients.

I have had a long and happy relationship with Computershare. The company has always been supportive and given me opportunites to develop my roles over the years. There are opportunities to advance, however downsizing and centralisation of operations have resulted in diminished scope of opportunity in the smaller state sites such as Brisbane. It remains a great place to work but now I am looking for a different challenge closer to home.

Enjoyed my time here as a temp. The people I worked with were lovely and quite a relaxed environment to work in. The money was good. The hardest part of the job was getting callers who just didn't want to listen to you and had no patience but you just had to be empathetic and help them out as best you could - for the most part it was fine.

Would be a good company to gain experience and than move on. Limited opportunity for progression. Extremely busy work periods where work is very long days and weekends. Time in lieu is offered but almost impossible to use up. 
Client retention/market share is top of the list even if it is not viable to keep them

There are plenty of opportunities to learn about the finance industry. If a career in this industry is what you want, working there will teach you all you need to know.

Probably, depending on where you work, things are relatively stress free. There are plenty of good people there, who have a great wealth of experience.

Typical day : very busy work environment. Quality is of the highest importance. 

Learning : not so well defined career pathway

Management: Directive and Controlled leadership style.

Culture: Friendly among peers

Hardest Part : Sometimes uncertainty 

Enjoyable: sense of achievement when accomplishing something without any guidance.

Nice customers, nice coworkers, nice managers, horrible management practices.
Minute by minute scheduling to make sure you know you're just meat for the grinder. But its a call center, so thats likely par for the course.
You'll get taken aside for a chat if you're a minute late on lunch, but no one cares if you're off break early. Timed bathroom breaks is also miserable.
