Commercial Hotel

My typical day at the Commercial Hotel would include providing waitressing and bartending services to customers, For example; Taking food and drinks orders, Gathering what is needed for the order, and delivering the order back to the customer which then leads to a point of sale operation. I've learned many things in my time at the Commercial. I learned to right way to pour a beer and mix a range of different drinks, I've also learned to carry 3 plates instead of 2 and how to handle difficult customers in a heavy work load environment. The management are very friendly, reliable, and are very easy to communicate with and the same goes for my co-workers, we all work as a team and help each other when needed. The hardest part of this job would be handling highly intoxicated customers. I love my job because it is partly a social job and it is great to talk to customers as well serving them and keeping them happy and on their feet.

•	Prepare and cook different type of cuisine to meet the customer’s need
•	Store food in designated areas
•	Clean work area, equipment and utensils, segregates and removes garbage 
•	Assist in quality control of item 
•	Set up buffet for  funtions
•	Assist Chef in ensfuntionuring that all culinary standards in that section comply with company hotel policies and minimum standards
•	Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities 
•	Ensure high standard to personal presentation and grooming 
•	Strictly follow OH & S policy 
•	Handle guest and food cost enquiries in a courteous and efficiency in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problem if no immediate solution can be found.
•	Training for staffs

Busy fast paced country pub. 
I took on most duties as assistant manager so dealt with any complaints or issues as well as making sure whole pub and motel was run smoothly.
my cow workers were great! I trained them all so we all knew each other very well and got along fantastically. 
the hardest part of the job was late nights as we would sometimes work until 1-2 am.
the most enjoyable part of the job was getting to communicate and be social with the patrons.

As this was my first Bar work I found this job great work environment I got on with all Patrons and Staff members The only thing I didn't like was the way the boss let me go .
The hours were great I worked mostly night from 4 to closing
I learnt to work a till, serve Alcohol, Opening and closing proceedures
Money  handling I really enjoyed this type of work.
The most enjoyable part of the job was when the older patrons would thank me for listening to there tales and they would always thank me for the service they recieved

Never in my career have I witnessed or experience Managers/owners treating their staff so appallingly.
I could tell many horror stories but I don't see the point. And I am not alone in my experience. This venue goes through staff on an epic level. All of whom will tell a similar tale of whoa.

What I will say is avoid at all costs.

I was fortunate enough to work in all areas in this pub, i opened the doors every morning. started the firer, cooked breakfast, put the deliveries away and prepared food for the dinner rush, then i would go and make sure all beds were made with fresh towles in each room, do the laundy and iron press the pilowcases

The venue need a good renovation, and it's pretty average overral, the kitchen is very old but has somevery good appliances like vacuum machine and mixing machine. The biggest problem is a very deficient drive and knowledge of hospitality from the management side.

Under previous owners I worked at the commercial hotel. This was a good bar attendant role with support from owners, responsibility and autonomy. Managers/owners were flexible with my time off as I studied.

was busy at certain times depending on the season with travellers coming through    the locals were very nice   The boss was ok but could have been nicer to staff  a lot of staff turn over there

Very well run Hotel, local owner who works well with his management team to achieve a high level of customer service.

Bottle Shop has been built back up and is running very well has been a challenge but it now has a very good reputation and is always busy.
