Commercial Club Albury

On my second 3 hour training day (that you dont get paid for) i was put on a function with no guidance or being told what i was meant to be doing. I had made it clear that i had never done anything like this before but still i was given no guidance from my mentor  or the managers there on that day. 
This is the same for when i started getting paid to work a week later, i was not really shown what to do or how things work, and what i was shown to do it was rushed over and not clear, so when you do something wrong you get in trouble.
I was told by other employees that i always had to be overly nice to the hospitality managers, as they are feared by their employees. I was told by other employees that if i take any time off the manager will cut my hours back for the following week. This happened on many occasions that i couldn't help. Then i was called up 1 hour before shifts being told not to come in as they don't need me that night, i found this very frustrating as i would plan everything around the shift that i would be given then not have to work when i'm dressed and ready to go ( as it was a 30 minute drive from my house to work).
I did not enjoy working here at all, and i would not recommend it to anyone that i know.

The club has all time customers visiting from various places and hence its always busy and the work just flows. I have been thought how to divide work among colleagues and participate as a team. Everyday working at the club, has made me come across new things and together I make sure to ask for customer feedback to improve the service of customers. Management and staff members have been very co-operative from the time I have started as they guide the new staff members in the right path. Busy schedules such as draw night's or wedding function's are the stressful days at the club if not working at the commercial club has always been enthusiastic and very beneficial experience to me.

Preparing food mainly and moving from different kitchens to help with different things. 

Preparing foods, learning new ways of cooking, cutting, displaying food. 

Management was good, all very friendly.

The hardest part of the job was keeping up with the fast pace, doesn't take long to get used to it though. 

The most enjoyable part was the finished products, the fulfilment of finishing what you were making.

Good pay, typical day was busy but steady, great team to work with and had god relationships with the patrons as well. The hardest part of the job would have to be working the late night shifts, especially when you didn't know what time you'd be finishing. Most enjoyable part of the job was making friendships with my co workers and having customers leave happy and satisfies with my service.

I didn't like the work culture  not very welcoming and very difficult to work  as team, in saying they I think good place for apprentice ship and chef who are new and to learn basic operation of kitchen

Fast paced with everyone having set roles for each shift. The costumers based remained relatively the same day to day with there being many regulars. It could also be a high stress environment also.

Always having something to do at work is very important to me. The Commercial Club allows me to feel productive for the money i am earning. However working on a casual basis in the capacity of 3 hour shifts doesn't leave me with money to put into savings and live as comfortably as i would like to.

My time at the commercial club was okay. I met lots of new friends and was working as a casual. The hour's arent too bad, good with breaks and the pay is quite good. However, the managers treat you like a kid and are very strict with how you dress. Didn't feel like I was valued or taken seriously. 

great place to work, multiple learning chances available throughout every day to day restored work. great co workers and supervising managers. bartending is a great skill to have

A great place for learning a lot about the hospitality industry and providing teaching for traditional bar work. I would I highly recommend this workplace.
