Clark Rubber Jandakot is a great place to work. We are a small team, and we all work well together. The owners are actively involved in the business, and close to the staff members. It is like an extended family environment, the level of support, both professionally and personally is like nothing I've experienced before. 
I enjoy the different aspects of the job. Some days you'll be cutting foam and totally transforming someones couch, or making them a mattress that fits perfectly into the back of their car. Other days you'll be the pool tech, doing jobs onsite or just advising on pools and spas. And then we have the rubber, sometimes working out which seal to use on a vehicle. We do a lot of problem solving to find the right product for the customer. 
It can be challenging as many of the products are heavy and cumbersome. Also in winter the days can be long. 
I still would prefer to be rich, but as far as jobs go, I quite like waking up and going to work at Clark Rubber Jandakot.  

Great company to work for and really enjoyed the actual job and what it entailed. As a franchise I find however each store would have its differences and job satisfaction. The franchisees I worked for did not have the capacity and didn't care about developing staff or supporting staff morale. No good morning or praise or guidance. The franchisees made so many mistakes but would blame staff and harass them instead of owning their own mistakes and developing systems to prevent them. Being mostly family employees it was always an unfair environment. Clark Rubber as a company itself though is awesome and I loved working for them.

Typical day: Start at 7:30am.  finishes: 6:0pm
Open the trading Store.. Check email communications , Orders, Deliveries, Staff rosters, store clean and safety.
Start Point Of sale System, Back office system. Carry out  all Back office  functions ,Bank Reconciliation, banking of cash deposits, purchase orders for any missing or low.
 Interact and have fun with staffs and costumers.
Communicate with franchisor rep. ,Sale reps. ,Trade Reps, costumer challenges and complaints.

People traits were friendly and business like.

Poor communication and severe budget constraints.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
High targets means stresses, overall the culture was positive.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Presenting to stakeholders, team support and guidance, solving project hurdles, targeting gate achievement, evaluating current and on-boarding projects.

Clark Rubber Franchise Support Office (FSO) 

I would strongly recommend not to work for this place - unless of course you are Australian!
This workplace does not support diversity.

There is no free WI FI and proper kitchens to have your lunch or take a break.

The managerial style is extremely unprofessional, unethical and unorthodox.
There is alot of inmaturity and favouritism.

I would strongly recommend looking working elsewhere.

A typical Day at work would go well, after opening, there would a set number of daily, weekly and monthly tasks to do. I believed I learned organization, business structure, customer service, sales and upselling.
Management is very good. Manager and Owner are fantastic to work with.
Job can be physically demanding sometimes but rarely.
cutting foam is the most enjoyable part of the job. 

Working at Clark Rubber was like working with my best friends every day. No matter how different everyone was to one another, the environment was always supportive and the bosses were always understanding when it came to any issues - whether they were work-related or not. The most challenging part of the job would have to have been working in a busy summer period - people needing pool parts that I hadn't yet learnt, but picked up quickly enough.

Uncompromising, over-controlling past & present senior management who like to belittle, humiliate and blame employees to mask their appalling strategies & disappointing sales results. Be prepared to enjoy high staff turnover rates, frustrated franchisees, some ‘style over substance’ employees and an overall toxic work culture. Truly regretted working at Clark Rubber Head office.

general retail work, with added side of water testing and foam cutting which was the best part getting to custom make things for people
 learnt how to test water samples for ideal swimming conditions 
management was a bit lacking in some areas but overall not bad


Roomie and spacious to work ,good people to deal with and good feelings are experienced by all team members , easy access to goods and most of all things placed at the right level to be got at, and easy to pull out!!
