Drivers used and abused , Told you're a sub contractor but complain if you take a day off or work half a day , then the radio room gets passive agresive if its not all to their favor . 

The culture of the place is full with ego and control with manipulation . 

Radio room staff are rude and will insult you as being stupid if you don't know something . 

DON'T WORK HERE theres heaped better Transport companys out there , the drivers only last a few months , nearly every driver you talk to are afew months . 

The owner-driver industry relies on the fact that YOU are the OWNER of your vehicle.   You have to pay for all maintenance and running costs.    With Civic Transport, you will need to be working 60 hours a week to cover all costs of maintenance that will arise.   The radio operators tried hard to keep a steady flow of work but it is an "occupation of last resort" unless you are doing it as a secondary employment or semi-retired.   So the company is ok compared to others in the industry but exercise careful judgement before heading down this path.

Day usually starts between 6.00am and 8.00am when Civic sends me my first pick and delivery. Then they send me another job or I wait for one and so the day continues. I enjoy the driving and the people. The guys on the 2 way sending me work are very good. The hardest parts are waiting for the next job, finishing earlier than I would like and earning less money than I would like. It's good to have my own truck but I would be happy driving for someone if there was more work.

Being outside and the exercise of lifting, carrying and walking.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Traffic and the terrible remuneration.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I don't know as I was on the road all the time.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Logging in and driving all over Melbourne and suburbs picking up and delivering packages.

Long hours non stop driving everyday.
Very stressful.
Lunch break only 15-20 mins
Lot of heavy lifting ( 23kg+ Paint )
for one tonne Van.
Operators were very controlling, rude and very bossy .
No training at all and you learn by mistake.
Low paid jobs.
2 way radio are useless and annoying.

They say you can earn so much but it never happens. No training offered whatsoever. You have to learn by their mistakes, which costs you money. They offered me a guaranteed minimum income but refused to give me a copy of the document I signed. When I gave notice their true colors shone through. I was told after I completed my deliveries for the week that my guaranteed minimum income would not be paid.

Had a very bad experience working for this company. If only I could give 0stars. They promised very good pay at the start and end up getting ripped off. Very bad management and the boss treats you like rubbish. Always wanting you running around to do more orders and end up they pay you less but you do more. They are liars and never want to discuss your payslip with them.

Rates of pay are far too low. They don't care about the drivers, they are only interested in the vehicle. 
 There is no opportunity for advancement.  Thet will employ many vehicles without worrying about flooding the market.
  They do not appear to care about the experience of the operators and employ almost anyone.

As a driver no one cares about you no matter how hard you work, management only cares for their customers and them selfs, nearly 20 staff in the office means drivers a working to pay their wages, not making anything for them self's, and if something goes wrong you will pay for it even if it's not your fault, I can go on and on ......

They are totally liar, fraud company, It's looks like people are going there not for earning but paying them very low pay, when you go first, they are doing very good conversation with people after everything once you start the job very stupid behavior, Even though they are expected to drive so far from your local area like more the 250km per day, NOT RECOMMENDED ANYONE.
