Great place with all options - hot desking, remote working and very good amenities in the offices, very cross-cultural making it a fun environment.

Very people friendly, not too many management layers, trust based working style.....being a multinational the reporting is generally not in country which makes trust in your employees a very significant factor.

Overall an excellent place.....no wonder Cisco is the #1 employer in Australia  in 2020. Was #2 in 2019 & #3 in 2018 which shows the organization is getting even better.

Also Cisco is among the top 10 ~ 15 Fortune 500 companies for several years which is testimony to the great management style of the organization for a very long period of time.

A typical project consisted of working with our Sales teams and Business Units to understand what the priorities were for the year/quarter, and then working with them to define, design and build and put in place solutions to make available the tools they need to sell more effectively.

Our team is generally a geographically dispersed one which at times made it a challenge to work across time zones efficiently and effectively. Management teams always were supportive and promoted working flexibility to suit your lifestyle whether that be working from home or from another country.

The most enjoyable part of the being at Cisco was the people, the leading\bleeding edge solutions and technologies and having the tools needed to enable employees to work from anywhere.

Overall a good probably great employer, great training, possible (but very difficult and low) to advance. Pays well, treats employees well, good healthcare, support and benefits.   Very interesting and challenging work with lots of scope for variety.

Can like many larger organisations be quite political in many areas, so managing your visability as well as your output can be very important.

Beware being over 50 in this company, you will according to many have a target on your back; either get into Directorship or have a backup plan.

Largest risk is that your skill set here can attrophy, and Cisco on your resume is far from the door opener that it once was, ensure you get other more modern competitors on your resume along the way.



Amazing place to work!
Staff is super friendly and understanding. Everything you're asked to do by staff is made to be easily understood. Also at the workplace, there is a "Leisure Level" where workers are allowed to eat their heart out with Snacks and tons of Gaming PC's, sure to take your mind off any stress and to offer a space of enjoyment and freedom. I only stayed there for one week as part of the 'Work Experience' programme at school, however, from what i experienced, Cisco is a great place to work, and i hope to one day return with a full time job in the future, to take full advantage of what such a great workplace has to offer.

My day starts by sorting all in coming mail and processing.
Also receiving all courier deliveries data entering in information and notifying receivers.
Keeping the working place clean and tidy.
Available to any requests that may come about regarding shipments coming in or going out.
Being a senior person I am very responsible in all that I do.
I go that bit extra to accomodate requests.
Deliver all parcels as requested and arrange courier deliveries both local / Interstae / Overseas..
Assist with requests that arise during the day..

What is the best part of working at the company?
A global company with great opportunities. It will allow you to meet and work with people around the globe and has a great WFH policy.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They let people go every year.  Everything is great until you are told you are no longer required.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is great.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A lot of remote meetings by Webex and answering a large number of emails. This will depend on the role that you have.

Great work culture with amassing opportunity to work cross functionally with direct or indirect teams located in many and various countries across the globe. Very good management structure with ample opportunity for career progression. Sales is probably the more challenging side of the business but at the same time motivating and rewarding in terms of remuneration but also the opportunity of working with highly motivated and successful sales team, customers and channel partners to achieve tangible business outcomes and customer satisfaction.

I was on a contract role (2 days a week) for almost 2 years and it was always busy but fun. Our HR team was composed of multicultural people but each treated each other as family. My manager was based in Japan and another colleague based in China but communication was never an issue as Cisco has all the high tech devices to be connected. I have enjoyed my stay in this company and would highly recommend it to applicants.

Cisco is a fantastic company to work at. I obtained most of my current professional skills at Cisco. They have a very empowering culture and I was always able to take my decisions if it was right for the customer and business. I enjoyed the flexibility at work and technology used for collaboration.
