Don’t care about staff, treat you as a number. If you are lucky you will get a good salon with friendly staff but odds are you won’t, most of the salons are full of mean girls who don’t have anything nice to say to each other. Be prepared for a high school environment and management just keep these toxic people on if they are making money. No breaks either you will work your hole shift running on coffee whilst be crucified behind your back from your team mates about things that aren’t work appropriate. You’ll also be expected to attend 30 minute meetings with no pay every week before your shift, if you are a apprentice you’ll also be expected to stay back with no pay to clean up the mess left by the senior staff while they happily leave. There is no “team environment” there’s just a pecking scale, the mess is made by everyone but the lowest on that scale just ends up doing it all. If anything goes wrong the lowest will be blamed. It’s a childish high school vibe, the best thing you can do is find a company who care about there workers and fair work rights that way if anything goes wrong you can actually rely on management to do something instead of sweeping it under the rug.

After working for this company off and on for a few years they ended up fabricating a story that diminished my professional reputation and ruined my personal satisfaction in my career. Would not listen to any defence I voiced regarding the vicious, extremely unrealistic story. Apprentices had attitude problems and threw tantrums during training nights whilst I tried to help them with constructive advice to make their training easier and more enjoyable. Staff meetings every Saturday morning that are compulsory but not productive or worthwhile. Staff just used this time to eat and gossip and put absent staff members down. Atrocious, would rather be jobless. 

The manager doesn’t care about any of the staffs well-being, I was there for 6 months and when I tried to resign it was refused and was told by head office if I leave they’ll cancel my apprenticeship and make sure I can’t get one anywhere else. I would also be called at 8 in the morning and told I HAVE to go to one of the other salons in the franchise to work for the day which were all at least a 40 minute drive. Very highschool like environment, always having staff talk about you behind your back and just a nasty place to be. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Beautiful family run business. Will work with them again in a heartbeat. They need to open up in Queensland haha

Only in the New South Wales ….

Very good, always go above and beyond to make employee happy

Busy , fun and friendly always

opening the shop as a team and setting up products to be used for the day, maintaining good communication with co workers to have goals met for the day, always growing with customer service skills as working with people all day face to face and over the phone.

Working for such a busy & fast paced environment was fantastic. Awesome co-workers & managers. Learned so much in my time there. Only left because I was having my first child & wanted to be a stay at home mum until my youngest started Kindergarten.

Done a 2 week trial at this place and it was good. everyone was friendly and open, but at times it was a rush. there was a lot of clients coming in wanting to do there hair and it was very multi task.
the reason why I left is cause it wasn't for me but i enjoyed working there.

Have to be prepared for the fast paced environment, and good at multitasking. But lots of laugh and encouraging pushing yourself daily. Just be you and enjoy yourself with it and be as creative as you can be cause it's very rewarding

Not very opening employees that works there.
Employer was not very opening, they got rid of me through a text and told me not to come into work the next day because apparently "They didn't need me anymore".

Worst experience ever as I was only 16 back then !

Christianes was hard place to work at considering is run by an accountant who only speaks in numbers and has more staff than he can keep track of. Management have little idea of what theyre doing and make you feel incompetent.
