I really enjoyed this job, I was doing work experience through school and they were happy to have me come and work with them. Lyn the manager was a lovely lady and made sure I experienced as much as I could whilst working with them. She also made things fun for me as I was helping clean out storage rooms, stacking shelves, cleaning shelves and floors, I was labelling and pricing products and storing them on the shelves, I was also rotating products and working on the till and although I was not allowed to physically handle the money I still got to scan all the products the customers wanted and delivered prices of purchases etc. I was also allowed to take the prescriptions from the customers and deliver it out back while they were prepared and then once the workers out the back had finished getting what the customer needed, I delivered the prescriptions back to the customers for them to proceed to the counter the pay.

The Chemmart Pharmacy provided a friendly environment for me to work in. On a typical day, I would have work through a stock checklist, ensure that the workplace was clean and sanitary, man the cash register a few times, and help the pharmacist to deliver the medications to the customers. My co-workers would always assist me if I was unable to understand a particular task. The hardest part of my job was to carry heavy boxes around the store, but my co-workers again helped and trained me, therefore I was able to perform a lot better. The most enjoyable part was to meet new people and learn how to talk to customers, as well as learning different skills when it comes to managing a pharmacy.

Chemmart was a great opportunity for me, hence why I continued on in employment for many years. 
Management/ownership at the time was not great however the team of ladies made life bearable and light. 
I enjoy this environment as it's personal and not all about KPI"S and up selling. It's being a human again and caring for people.

I learned how to use the till software and prescription dispensary software quickly and efficiently. Boss and co workers friendly and a real team effort throughout the working day. I learnt so much about the products as the job progressed and enjoyed selling it and talking to customers about their problems and questions.

Set up display of perfumes. Constant sales and consults with customers throughout the day. Sometimes I filled in on the Mac Beauty Counter and would help customers with colour choices. I found this role very energetic and fulfilling especially when the customer was satisfied.

From day one everyone has been so kind and friendly. Fantastic boss easy going and great to get a long with. Couldn't fault the work place at all. Im glad this was my first workplace as everyone is friendly and easy to get along with.

When I was Year 10, the school told me that they would give us a chance to learn something from work experience. I decided this shop for learning work experience

Doing their best to trail the likes of Sigma's Amcal and Guardian. Only half way there though! Poor support from business development managers. Have recently merged with Terry White so things may be different now. Average pay!

As far as jobs go, its not the worst one ive had. Pharmacy pay is not great unless you have all the big qualifications. Not an industry you want to have a job in unless you plan on sticking with it for a while.

Very busy workplace with a good amount of responsibility. Very rewarding position working with the customers. Supportive management and a great team.
