Weak decision making. Lack of consistency in future policy, it can change and affect employee service. Outdated ERP system, manual ways of working, communication is another issue. It is not welcome to challenge Status-quo (ways of working). Sometimes you feel micromanagement style. High employee turnover for e.g., in 2022 CFO, CEO, in 2023 IT Head, HR Head left, two Finance Managers left, Supply Chain and others.

cheetham salt was a friendly environment with helpful supervisors, I never had any trouble with any of the jobs I was required to do as I was trained in all areas correctly. working here is what gave me the incentive to gain my forklift licence as I was given onsite training whilst working there.

A good environment with nice people to work and have fun with. The company is growing and needs to enhance leadership and staff capability to commensurate with the growth. The lean business culture needs to be reviewed in line with current business growth reality.

Head office in Melbourne in sites in very regional Australia.    A good SME to be part of.  Business was established almost 130 years ago and has strong market presence

Could never get in touch to find out if or when I was working because I lived 70km away I couldn't just check and they wouldn't even tell me there was no work left me hanging for over month

Very good team to work with. Good training for a small company. However the permanent rate of pay plus the 9 hours rolling shift is the very reason that the company finds it challenging to attract employees.

Toxic workplace  racism, misogyny, if you’re smart you will run away quick and not look back, place ran by incompetent I do not look at my overall time there foundly

Enjoyed my time as a temp in Cheetham Salt. The staff in the team and the rest of the office were friendly. Management was supportive. Salary was good, hours were flexible.

Interesting culture and people, remote area salt mine. Old mill that required high maintenance to bring it up to date. The mill had been scheduled to be replaced.
