Charter Security

I absolutely loved working for Charter Security for JB HI FI.
what I learnt I found out how I can settle people down when I had to check their bags on the way out, just give them a reason why we do this standing on my feet for 8hrs a day, stop drunks coming into the shop, make kids happy on the way out by putting stamps on their hands and to make them smile. Customers asking me where a section in the shop would be I would point the way for them.
Lock up doors to JB HI FI put the days takings in the safe and set the alarm.

The hardest part of my job.
 
I had caught people walking out the door with a laptops, head phones etc. They haven't even paid for them and to stop them in their tracks before they walked out the door and return the goods to me. Hard because I never done this job before and it made me feel good to stop shop lifters. and had to stop a lot of drunks coming into the store.

Enjoyable part of this job 

It was just a great and happy place to work at

I worked in JB HiFi which is a chain of large stores selling electrical entertainment systems and computer hardware and software. A typical day for me involved ensuring all customers in the shop were being served, so lots of running around! A lot of co-operation with the sales team and manager was needed to ensure every customer was served promptly and by the right sales member as they all had their own departments and specialties. I did well in this and always received good feedback from management on how I dealt with both customers and the sales team. The most enjoyable part of my job was the interaction with the public and working as a team.

Great job, great colleagues, worked here for a few years and enjoyed the work, management was great to deal with and understand when you have any issues and are quick to fix the problem.

i worked with this company, they have no respect at all for the guards, and they have too much subcontractor so you don't know seriously who is your supervisor.
i have to note that the company provide guards for the store without interview and knowing them.
so i can say that they hire unknown.

works is stable and reliable, but the job get as tedious as someone who has done it can only understand. Good company to work for though. Dealing with the public can wear thin and i personaly found it  to be the biggest drawback of the job over time.

always a great day, don't get involved or fraternize with the staff or patrons while-list  on duty, always stay disciplined on your shift, and always stay carm in situations, always enjoy coming to work with a positive attitude
