A highly multi-tasked and challenging role, which kept everyday interesting, A role where you needed to be thick-skinned, while maintaining friendly and professional. I needed to be efficient, responding to all Tenant and Landlord enquiries promptly, along with organising maintenance, communicating clearly and effectively with contractor's. 
Carrying out inspections and preparing detailed reports for Landlords. Processing rental payments and contacting debtors while following the companies policies and procedures.
I learned to work autonomously whilst working to strict deadlines, with a high volume of workload. I was able to take on more responsibly while maintaining a calm and organised.
I easily adapt to all personalities, therefore worked well with all employees and built great relationships.

Time Management was essential to accomplish this job. The Property Management team was exceptional. We all worked as individuals, but when needed, we worked together as one. The hardest part was dealing with clients that did not have great hygiene or cleaning skills in their home. And the best part was working with the Landlords in maintaining their property. I learned tolerance for those that did not have the life skills to apply for a property without assistance or maintain the property. My job entailed inspections of properties, maintenance of the properties, reports to Landlords, prospecting, filing, banking, reception, data entry and Internet site updates.

If you have the drive to succeed and strive for the accolade that comes with success, then sales is for you.  You need to care about your appearance and have a genuine desire to help others.  Helping others is a big part of what makes a great Century 21 agent.  
If you are driven by systems and are great with time management, a neat freak and can hold authority without abusing the position of power, then property management is for you.  But don't think that you can start at the top here - it takes a few years to build the skills and the resilience to what is a tough job.  
If you are a bit of both, like me, then a BDM position is a great meld of sales and process.  This position will make the business asset grow and you will become an invaluable member of the team.

I started off as general administration and progressed quickly to Assistant Property Manager. 
The staff were great to work with and very supportive. Especially management who saw a great potential in me to become a PM.
I consistently received positive feedback from my Directors/General Manager/PM's & Clients. 
I even received a letter of compliment from one of the owners I was working with.
The hardest part of the job was having to sort out difficult tenants who were refusing to make payments.
The mot enjoyable part of my day was basically everything because I knew I was capable of providing great customer service to my tenants, which resulted some of the owners coming to me to deal with rather then their PM.

It can be monotonous at times. Its a learning curve every day, especially getting to know how the Gold Coast consumers and real estate consumers, in general, react to the changing prices of residential property in the present market.
The management is new to the game so need all the coherent help to grow together.
Including myself, we have 2 agents operating at the moment and we make the most of our symbiotic help.
Hardest part of the job is prospecting in a new environment and the most enjoyable part is meeting new people and helping them achieve their final goal, be it selling or buying the right property at the right price.

I loved working at Century 21 western Real Estate . a Typical day will be meeting and greeting. helping them find what they need a house to buy or rent , some people came trying to find street names  or finding out where they are.

 I learned different things each day. 

I got on well with co-workers when new people came to work at office I showed them how to use things like scanner, Printer, etc.

The hardest part was when some people came in and they had no english but we worked though that.

As my first office experience I obtained a position as a receptionist and office support at a confidential dating agency in the Sydney CBD.
At SCD Global we had many clients from all around Australia that were all in different types of occupations and so forth. I was able to learn how to handle and communicate with different types of personalities and characters when preparing consultations for our clients. I was also able to learn and practice general office duties working well independently and in a team.

I had the pleasure of working temporarily to gain more experience and fill in a receptionist role position in such a positive and professional real estate agency.
My duties day to day included, greeting and being attentive towards clients enquiries, Communicating with new clients as well as current clients. Always using my excellent customer service skills and solving all problems that I am able to assist with.

Horrible place to begin my real estate career, from the start i was given 1 DAY of training and then was expected to know everything from there, toxic staff to the point i had filed 10 verbal complaints and nothing was done and when i filed a formal complaint MY position was threatened. extremely high staff turnover rate, ive seen 4 people leave in the last 6 months and was told by other staff they had gone through 7 receptionists in the last 2 years and its no wonder why.

- standard day would be 9-5 door to door knocking finding clients who where intrested in selling their houses. i learnt how to feel comftable with meeting new people. learnt how to set up many of things through computers listing etc.. 

- co workers were abit demotivating good individual but not as a team this was a few years ago.

i most enjoyed meeting new clients talking with people.
