When I started with centurion the company was sub contacting to Leightons Contractors  on the gorgon project everyone was very nice  everyone seemed to be more relaxed and the job seemed to be a more relaxed kind of job so you never felt like you where under and pressure I was on the project from 2012 to 2014 and I really enjoyed it . Once my part of the gorgon project came to an end I had to return to centurions main depot and it just felt like I was always under a lot of pressure and no one ever seemed relaxed and it was all go go go it felt like centurions customers came before the well being of there employee's the management was also very poor at centurion. We had to process a minmuim of 80 lines a day and if you didn't meet that a few days in a row you would get pulled into the supervisors office and be questioned why you are not meeting your quoter and if you did it not meet it multiple times you would get a written warning so if you don't like fast paced work where a company puts there customers before the well being of there employee's I would suggest you work elsewhere

My usual day would start with truck pre start check and paper work.Start up the MPA to see what jobs where allocated, then go around yard to pick up back freight and head out to deliver freight and pick up.Our fleet controller worked well with us to make sure any  hold up's where dealt with.My manger was a good communicator with what he expected and listened and dealt with any problems we where having.Safety was a high priority and fatigue management was monitored very well.There was good safety education training on site and other courses that covered educating us to be better prepared for our daily duties.I enjoy driving so was happy there.Was shocked when department was closed down.

The people and what I do in my job I really enjoy it 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Changing from sap to sap4 Hana has been pretty stressful and has required everyone to help each other 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Pretty good, most people enjoy their work and we have a laugh and moral is good 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Arrive at 5.15am sit in the carpark til 5.32am then go into work and blow in the breathalyser and clock in .
Do my CRA and then log into my computer and get ready for our 6am meeting .
Start in Manifesting by doing some work on the computer to set things up

all incoming goods have to be received checked and receipted and dispatched to site within two days.  My job as team leader is to motivate and assist my team to achieve KPI's to ensure this happens.  I am hands on and jump in where there is a weakness in my team.  I work mainly without management presence which ensures autonomy in decision making.
I have built up a team that prides themselves on the quality and quantity of their work. The hardest part of my job is to achieve targets when resources are limited.
The most enjoyable part of my job is finishing work knowing we did well as a team and for our client.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There was always work, you where always away on the road

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The way they secured there loads, it was a hit and miss, if any of your freight would move

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
there was a purple circle of drivers who got all the good jobs, no upskiling so I was stuck in linehaul, I wanted to move across to heavy haulage

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy and often boring waiting for loads to given to you, so you would have to wait

The work is good, management average, in a hot climate like the Pilbara you need a good team play. Difficult conditions command steady heads with good attitude and experience, the % rate at Centurion is about 50 unfortunately. Management need to step up in my view. My partner and I are intending to move to back to Tasmania by years end.

I have worked for centurion transport and contractors who worked for centurion for 13 years best company ever very relaxed environment. I have the highest praise for management they are a great group of guys.

safty is very important at centurion .very good equipment to work with .always looking  for best possible ways to minimums risk and hazrd .and very supportive Team.

Very fast paced work environment. Good team to work with. Continuous work. Suitable for a hard worker who doesn't mind over hours and hard physical work.

in a typical day you would find yourself checking manifests against loads, hooking up and travelling to your destination, in modern vehicles with all the mod-cons a driver could need.
