At , every day was different.  The customers or clients (depending which section you worked that day) were from all warps of life.  All were needing different things. And my aim was to make their experience as easy as possible.  The stock which we sold was always different.  Had to merchandise then sell anything from a diamond ring valued $10 000, to a cricket bat, a power tool to a collectors item.  
The part of the job I found most difficult, was sometimes the most rewarding.  People in dire need of money, for whatever personal reason they have, and having them leave the store with a little bit to help them was always emotional to myself. This was personally difficult but rewarding.  The fellow staff that I worked with also get you through your day.  Its a very family orientated workplace which make it easy to come back the next day. It is important to me to have that great staff rapport. I feel its healthy for the work environment.

Working with Cash Converters let you gain various types of sales experience selling multiple products ranging from electronics, telecommunication, Jewellery, toys, surf gear, sporting, camping and many more product ranges.

You definitely gain knowledge on each product in depth by selling multiple products and specially in depth learning about managing a business in a profitable manner. Training staff and keeping them up to date in terms of compliance.

In terms of Management you will be learning all aspects of financial requirements for a healthy business, compliance and strategical approaches in achieving budgets.

Very close knit culture and a strong team environment. The hardest part of the job would be dealing with pawn broking customers where they bring items unsuitable to use and stolen items to pawn or sell. 

Most enjoyable part of the job is selling at retail as you will get to meet various types of customers from multiple walks of life.

My role at cash converters was a very fun and upbeat position,
i learned about customer service, and sucessful sales strategies both with on the job training and also experience with customers,
Management were very good and courteous, and would often take the time to tell you what a good job you were doing.
working within a tight knit team of other driven individuals made it a very enjoyable experience for me, and was also a good environment to challenge myself as a salesperson,
the hardest part of the job at first was dealing with problem customers but as i became more grounded and experienced in my role it became easier and easier.
The most enjoyable part of the job was dealing with the public, and being able to help customers find what they need or otherwise help them to the best of my ability.

I have worked in most sections of Cash Converters, and gained much in product knowledge and procedures, but the most enjoyable section for me was the jewellery section. I worked almost solely in the jewellery section of a smaller Cash Converters and enjoyed my tasks of cleaning, displaying, pricing and selling jewellery. Management have always been on hand to offer support when needed as have my fellow co-workers. I have learned features and benefits of products that I perhaps previously thought were out of my comfort zone and have surprised a few customers by demonstrating power tools and subwoofers. Still prefer the jewellery though. The hardest part of the job was my decision to leave after so many years to broaden my horizons.

The people are amazing. Especially my leaders they’re 110% committed to you and helping you develop your career

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Stressful would be the first 3 months, learning legislation, the system we use. But once you get over that 3 month hurdle it’s smooth sailing 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Motivational, laughing. Minimal stress, random pizza days. Work functions! All positive vibes 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Walk in turn on your laptop on, have abit of a chat to the group, check your work load, check your schedule. Put your headphones on and start working, might be a meeting or 2 throughout the day. But it doesn’t impact your KPI as they’re adjusted

All co-workers did their best to make sure every part of the store worked smoothly and made sure to assist each other and new employees. They worked together always. If one area of the store required some extra help someone would quickly go to help without hesitation. This shop was ours. We weren't just working at a manager's store. We were operating ours. The manager made efforts to make sure each of us was doing well and encouraged us to improve whenever he could. He gave us bonuses and little monetary prizes for very good performance and let us have some healthy competition while still looking out for one another.

Management and HR are a JOKE. They do not care about you at all as an employee, you are just expendable regardless of whether you work hard or not. There are no employee incentives and you are treated poorly. You are always expected to drop everything and work up to 7days a week. No work-life balance. In my years at Cash Converters I noticed their dealings were very unprofessional. Do not waste your time and apply here I promise it is not worth it at all. A lot of current employees are trying to find a way out! Don’t put yourself in this position. They are terrible people.

Dealing with customers who are mostly in tight situations, needing money and doing all they car to get it. The buys department is always crazy busy with minimal staff so employees never gets breaks before 2pm, also never got our two 10 min breaks either unless you smoked it seemed. Sometimes it felt morally wrong what we did for people and management are highly strung, hard to get help from and constantly pick on little things to threaten your job with. It was awful. 
I left there with the worst anxiety I’ve ever had.

In a typical day I served customers, placed 'new' stock and spent a LOT of time cleaning sale goods, a huge number of glass doors and (trying to) keep the store clean; an onerous task.

The management at the time was VERY good, however they were all dismissed the day before I was.

The majority of my co-workers were very good: approachable, helpful and friendly.

The hardest part of the job was trying to sell shoddy second hand goods that I would NEVER consider buying myself while the best part of the day was when it was time to go home.

Sorry, but I would rank it as the worst job I have ever had.

Nothing. Management discriminates staff and customers

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being left to handle all of the customers on my own, management treating me like a maid and being made to feel like I am incompetent 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
stressful, drains the life from you, 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I get to work, do every morning task on my own whilst juggling between serving customers, pricing stock and completing my modules. Management offers me no assistance and I am debating quitting this position.
