At Carnival Cruises, employees must comply very high standards, strong ethics. People work every day 6-8 consecutive months, 10-12 hours in split shifts. We learn all facets of restaurant service as we must be able to work at several different entities(dining room, buffet, bars, galley, steakhouse, etc.) and working in a team of 3 to 100 people. This requires a high level of teamwork and cooperation.
The hardest part is the cleaning after service - to meet strict hygienic standards. The best part is entertaining the guests during service and show hospitality.

working in a multicultural environment catering to 6000 guests where each and every area of food service gets busy is very exciting .You meet so many different kinds of people and learn to anticipate their needs and make them happy .Missing home and family always stays at the back of your mind but you make your own family while you stay six months on board and keep yourself motivated and happy always .There's not much to do but always something keeps you busy .

I've learned everything how to communicate to other nationality to accept the culture, i have strong will to handle responsibilities.
have great management,, i have a lot of different nationality of co-workers not only only filipino, the hardest part of the job if u don't communicate to your supervisor if have something issue..The most enjoyable part of the job is when we are on port we have a time to go out in the part of our cruise tour..

The company helped me to provide financial aspect for my family and it gave me the experience i need..Also they gave us room for promotion and a good working environment.the hard part is that we dont have day off for the whole contract. That means we work seven days a week for the whole contract (8-9 months).

It’s a nice place to start your career in the hospitality business. However be sure to work extra hours, wake up very early, lack sleep. Some managers lack soft skills, many people onboard don’t really speak fluent English, but you’ll get by. 

Working on cruiseliners takes a lot of hard work and dedication. You should be able to work long hours far away from your families and every day life. But it has so many perks, traveling the world while being paid, seeing beautiful places and meeting amazing people. If you work well in teams and like making a lot of money while traveling the world, this is definitely the job for you.

Carnival UK was an amazing place to work I am happy to have worked there I had to return back to Australia but had I not needed to I would have stayed working there. All colleagues were very friendly when I started and made me feel welcome straight away. The overall attitude in carnival house UK was happy! Would suggest Carnival Company to anyone.

Safety is number priority. Excellent customer service is required. Fun and safe environment. Employees are well trained with safety and customer service. Employees are being motivated always. The company is very supportive and helpful with the employees and guests.
