A typical day at work is being harassed by your manager to pass students to meet company targets.

Bonuses promised are never delivered to staff.

Operations in Melbourne are a shamble compared to QLD, due to ineffective leadership across campus management and in some areas, team leaders.  There is no consultation with employees and heaven help you if you criticize or suggest ways the company can become more compliant.

This company is set up to make money out of targeting disadvantage people and using our taxes.  No doubt it will disappear in the near future,  moving on to a rebrand another dodgy school.

Shame on you Careers Australia.  You have clearly demonstrated how an education institution should not be run.

-A typical day at work would be administration, customer service and answering the phone.
- I learn a lot at Careers Australia. I did my Cert III in Business Administration which was amazing. I had great support.
- Management was always great, they always under stood that family comes first and worked really good with days off.
- I couldn't of asked for better co workers, they were fantastic always so supportive and helped everyday. they taught me a lot and i made a lot of great friends.
- Hardest part about my job was getting asked silly questions over and over again.
- I enjoyed my entire traineeship. i learnt more then i ever thought i could. everyone was so supportive and i gained a lot of experience that i can take with me to any job i get.

The employee turnover is high at Careers Australia due to less training on processes and least guidelines provided regarding compliance and management

My Typical day starts checking and responding to emails. Following up student assessment submissions. Contacting students as part of the student engagement process. Provide one-on-one student consultation. Training. Updating the LMS system.

I learn new things without no support from anyone.

I receive less appreciation and more work from management

Confronting admin issues are the hardest parts of the job

My co-workers are a joy to work with.

Training/teaching and being with the students are the most enjoyable part of the job

Everyone who works here are awesome. Very friendly managers and colleagues always ready to give help when needed. There are always prizes given away on a daily basis, lots of team competitions which keeps it a fun place to work. Every day something is happening.

When I started there were just a few teams with about 5 people in each team. Now there are almost ten teams with around ten people in each team. This company is growing FAST with great team leaders to give practical coaching tailored to each individual.

Had the opportunity to develop curriculum and resources for a variety of courses (such as Core Skills for Employment and Training, IELTS preparation, English for Academic Purposes) as well as Literacy Numeracy assessment tools. I was also fortunate to be able to help students improve their Literacy and Numeracy skills so they could reach their full potential. The intensive Literacy and Numeracy courses I have developed were focused on bringing our students to the required LLN level for their specific studies. An example would be Intensive Mathematics preparation course aiming at preparing students for Engineering courses.

Attending to high volume calls, providing customers with information about our courses , enrolling potential interested customers to their course choice. hitting KPI targets. 

Management were always supportive and always consisted with training to overcome any obstacles to objective handle. 

hardest part of the job was to try and get customers interested to not hang up on you as these calls were cold calls . 

most enjoyable part of the job was feeling satisfaction to help and enrol a student into our courses setting up a future and pathway for them.

Team orientated environment and great place to work.  

Typical day at work would include handling of complaints in the online feedback inbox. also creating and updating of the work instructions for out online student liaison officers. Possible audits depending on the requirements for the day as I work in the quality and compliance area. 

Management are down to earth and very flexible. 

I enjoy working in this team environment with a  great culture.

Careers Australia is a very supportive and professional RTO company to work for.  Management Team were great leaders and always assisted when you needed their help.  The only thing I found slightly frustrating was the continuous daily IT issues but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed working with people that were hard working and greatly motivated.

A company that is ever changing to avoid taking accountability.  Constant 'plants' put on sites that review their company to reduce the percentage of poor reviews.  

There is a system by which if you fail students you are harassed and overloaded with work until your crash and burn or submit to pass every student regardless of competence. 

They know regulations very well and develop strategies to get around them.  They are in sweet with politicians giving political donations - the list goes on....

The staff at the Salisbury campus were great to work with and very helpful.
The enjoyable aspect of the job was training and mentoring the candidates. 
A typical day was training students theory, practical and demonstration of activities.
Followed by the course outcome paperwork.
I learnt a lot from Careers as they have a very large scope of training deliveries.
