Working for capability scotland you see the difference you make every day to the lives of those you support. I have built fantastic relationships with people from all walks of life, customers and staff. 
Our customers really appreciate the time and attention of staff members which makes for a positive working environment. 
Admittedly you work hard here, but the hours fly by and as previously mentioned you see the difference your hard work makes. 

I've found the management team to be nothing but fair, supportive and guiding. The unit managers have all worked within the units for a number of years and so understand the challenges their staff face. 
I have personally received invaluable advice/guidance from the unit management team. 

The company as a whole is very accommodating in return for the hard work staff put in, good rate of pay, good holiday allowance and the opportunity for flexible part-time/relief working hours that meet staff and unit needs, eg. Early shifts or late shifts only. 
As a full time member of staff you work to a three week rota which allows for plenty time for rest and recuperation.

I really like working here. The staff are friendly and caring to each other as well as the children, with all staff working to the common goals of GIRFEC - helping the children feel nurtured, respected as individuals and promoting independence.  I would recommend Stanmore House School as a great place to work.

I have fond memories of my time at Upper Springlands. Residents are wonderful, and the potential for the place is enormous, though unfortunately - it gets completely wasted.

Pay is some of the lowest, especially for the staff registered as practicioners responsible for both medication and assessments.

Very clique on various levels.

The bright side comes when dealing with service users and long-term staff.

Wonderful place for those seeking to get first steps into healthcare, but the wages speaks for itself - hight staff turnover and frequent shortages are dreadful.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The customers are the best part, they make a tough day good. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management, weird shift patterns, trying to get time off. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic, you're fine if your face fits though, the more you do the more is expected of you, the slackers seem to be treated better leading to toxic culture. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There is no typical day, you can be doing meds one day then out on activities the next.

Staff are overworked with little to no recognition, management are very close to each other and use this to better themselves to the detriment of their teams. Not much of a focus on helping customers achieve independence. There is a massive problem with employees suffering mental health issues which management seem to ignore as it isn’t convenient for them. 

Capability Scotland is dedicated to helping their clients to life their best lives.

It can be difficult juggeling this whilst supporting every individuals care need, however the workforce are driven to displaying best practice at all time and this is refelcted in the Care Inspectorate Reports.

Worked here for a while and although I loved the people  I cared for I found a high percentage of  staff (Rosie bank/tummel) to be unfriendly/unwelcoming and could not care less, the basics got done nothing more nothing less and all accepted as normal. Not a nice place to work and certainly wouldn’t recommend, very sad as I feel the customers deserve far more.

the hardest part of the job is that goes to work from Dundee, so am not driving l find very difficult especially when l have to close late, but am getting use to it 

Great customers and staff team. Team working and people want to make a difference.

Fun and enjoyable work place, the staff and clients feel like family and are always welcoming, will go above and beyond to help you in any manner they can and make sure you feel comfortable in the position with all necessary training
