I worked here 10 years ago and I'm still getting over the trauma. 
Management and senior management are toxic. They keep contractors hanging on for jobs until people leave, stressed, deflated and lacking any confidence.  
Examples: 
- hiding successful work that contractors have been recognised for doing and instead, passing it off as their own (true story). 
- overworking contractors through inference (you either do the extra work or you lose your contract) and then claiming that they never asked you to do the extra work. 
- harassing through email and phone, calling over 50 times on sick days over and over again and not leaving a message 
- continuing to contact me after I'd left the business to chase up on work that they said I was responsible for even though I'd left the job (very weird). 



Typical day at in my current role consists of many different variables that are often thrown into the mix daily. No two days are the same nor would i want them to be, by working in this environment I am adaptable, willing to learn new things and highly motivated to push myself daily with new challengers. 

I have a few sayings at work, 

* There is nothing wrong with change as there is always a positive in every situation, embrace it as you never know where it will take you or what you will learn.

* The whole person comes to work, we should treat everyone with respect.

* There is nothing wrong with asking questions.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The most important part is to gain an understanding of the Hospitality industry.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Logistics had been stressful at the workplace.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The facilities are quality and staff members are interactive.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I would be engaging with trainers and students. We would talk relevant topics to our studies.

The CIT is an interesting place too work.  It is a dynamic education environment but undergoing a major identity crisis.

The Senior Management is trying to decide what role the organisation has in the Canberra environment while being part of government but needing to behave like a private sector company.

It's line workers are hard working dedicated educationalist.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I would like to work in a hospital setting.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with colleagues and families.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Culturally safe and respectful environment.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Management and punctuality at the workplace.

For a valued contribution toward assisting, developing countries to reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development.

Organize preliminary studies for the work program appraisal achievement.

Hardest of the job was negotiating with heads of government ministries and achieving results.

The co-workers had a positive attitude towards the work program project.

CIT needs to be more human friendly community. Be more loyal towards the teachers. Recognise their efforts. Increase salaries instead of reducing 17/ percent on hourly rate. Make the contractors permanent.

Unfortunately, CIT has gone bad the last few years. What was once a friendly, happy, supportive culture is now competitive, secretive and obstructional. Executive and Directors are continuously engaged in managing money instead of properly managing and supporting people.

I won many art awards in my childhood.

I studies much design in tertiary education.

Computing was important to design and I learn many lessons about computers.

Typical day at work doing admin work of phone calls, filing, and taking payments for the massages. I learnt that being productive and getting to know your work colleges help to make the environment fun. There isnt anything hard about this job. I enjoy getting to know the clients and students to make the enviornment more connected
