Walk through the front door and say good morning to every one and every one has a big smile. 

When I start work I say a quick good morning to the chefs and they always ask how i have been or how my break was. 

Always get to see other workers from other areas such as front of house and bar workers as well as the managers. Always smiling and laughing and enjoying their work. 

The hardest part is making sure every thing is cleaned to high standards to be able to be presented out to the public and clean for the chefs to cook with. 
Another hard part is having every thing done by the end of the day and ready for the next day for the chefs and the other kitchen hand if I am not working the next morning. 

The most enjoyable part is being able to have casual chats and laughs while every one is working.

Operating a very busy switchboard, announcing calls, taking messages. Also responsible for booking reservations at 4 restaurants, courtesy bus bookings and show room bookings. Various clerical duties, mail, ad hoc typing, photocopying, petty cash. The job is varied and busy, you need to be able to multi task and work under pressure as you are often answering calls and making the various bookings and doing other clerical duties during a shift. I enjoy dealing with people, both over the phone and face to face. Although we don't see a lot of people where the office is situated we are also dealing with internal customers.

I have to say from reading reviews of the RSL I was a bit wary of working there as they were mixed. I’ve found the team to be really supportive and I’m not sure if it’s the same management team now, but I haven’t seen or experienced any of the things about HR or the GM. I’ve found it to be a great place with really friendly people that make it fun to be at work. It can be really busy, which took a bit to get used! 

I wouldn’t wish my worst enemy to work here. I am dumbfounded the amount of bullying that takes place there. Nothing gets sorted due to the uneducated ‘HR Manager’ and the GM with small man syndrome. They have turned the club in to a joke and not to mention the awful environment for the staff to work.  It’s a pity the Sub Branch don’t step in and demand more appropriate working conditions for the staff, and not about lining each other’s pockets..

Have been bullied by everyone from co workers, team leaders and all the way through upper management. Complained about one co worker once and got told she "was going through stuff" as if that made it okay. Nothing further came of it. Constantly told you're "being watched." Place is surprisingly dirty, very few departments have cleaning routines

Good working conditions where I have completed Certificate 3 in Hospitality. I have an RSA and enjoy working on bar. I have met great people and earned myself enough money to buy a car and travel a little. I am not too keen on working week-ends but this is hospitality.

While working at the RSL I have made many friends and enjoy spending time at the venue outside of work hours. The teamwork helps make the dream work and I go to the gym with fellow staff members. I enjoy working in the safe and professional work environment and am happy to help out whenever possible.

A typical work day consisited of a 8 hour day with one lunch break.
I learnt how to handle money, make coffees, oversee stocktake, customer service and many other skills.
The hardest part was at lunch time when the buses would come in and it got very busy.

I was not there for very long; so I can't give a valid review.

But from what I gathered, the people I worked with definitely took their jobs seriously and with integrity and a bubbly and positive disposition.

The culture in this particular company is BULLYING. I would not send anyone there as how they treat staff is implorable and they DO get away with it because they are an RSL. It's truly disgusting..
