Couriers please is a decent place to work, My position is full time meaning I've got the stability of at least 38 hours a week. Training is okay but is forever changing and if not trained by the right person your bound to be doing something the wrong way. Couriers please claims to be 'customer focused' however over my experience and my opinion is that there more money focused than anything. There's nothing really hard about the job until the busy periods like Christmas when there is a much bigger volume of freight and management isn't open to hiring on extra staff to accommodate.

Just like any other day, it would start of slow and lazy but as the sun comes up the day starts heating up and the courier drivers would start to arrive for their first depot, busy and loud, everyone had their own departments and areas to take care of, a lot of inquiries and phone calls would come through, but working with such a good team where everyone helps each other out if we see anyone in need of a hand we will help them. The hardest part would definitely be handling angry customers but the most enjoyable part would be the smiles you bring to customers faces when they receive their parcels and also working with such a great group of people.

It's OK if you just looking for some part time work or temp work.
I work as relieved driver $200-$220 a day (2018) regardless of the hours you need to finish your work. So some easy runs you don't need the lift heavy. But some industrial runs you required to lift heavy items continuously like tonnes of screws and car parts. There are delivery runs and pick up runs.
The franchise owners works Monday to Friday. No sick leave, no super, you are your own boss they say. 
Overall, it's not as good as you think if you are thinking about franchising. Maybe work there as relieve driver and see for your self.

As a starting point for inexperienced delivery drivers, great to learn the job, very little space for improvement. Long working hours, from 6.30 until the end of the working day, sometimes it is 6pm. Those who work in a more urban part of the city with a lot of buildings and companies are exposed to great delays and problems. It often happens that the day before the start of the working week, supervisors report that there is no work. All in all it is good to start with, but not a long way.

Most drivers are not happy with Management! Everyone thinking leave and not stable job because the mangement. 5-10 mins lunch time around. Very long hours ,little money for most ,barely minimum wage for how long you work. Any problem they will cost you money. Goods very heavy so easy to get hurt and the company don't care and if you get hurt take sick leave they will cost you so much money to hire outside driver then the day you can earn. They don’t have your back and they let you know that you are very replaceable.

hard work and poor wages  ,  manager was very unfair  ,  work place didn’t have any health and safety

Reactive and not proactive,only fix problems when escalated by customers. Management in their own world and now it's too late.Too many customers have lost confidence in their service.forget without good drivers the business will never be successful.

It was a really easy job. There was always thousands of boxes in the warehouse, but nobody really wanted to deliver them. Us drivers in the morning would grab 3 or 4 parcels and chat for an hour or so, then drop those boxes off and come back for lunch at about 1pm.  Lunch would finish at about 3pm, then maybe grab 1 or 2 more parcels, shoot them out and come back by knock off at 5pm. Nobody cared about the packages, easiest job I ever had.  I would still be there but for the fact I moved.

This company seems to feel it is acceptable to have bullying in the work place. As depot hand unless you are the fleet managers best mate you get treated unfairly.  No safety awareness. Staff do as they wish if you are a favorite and others are in fear of their job if they say anything.  Wouldn't recommend working for them.
Forklifts speed no safety shoes worn the place is a joke.

Sorting other people’s freight
