This was my career I also loved working for a family company. I was given opportunities to grow from an assembler, clerical position to a supervisor. I had some great mentors in the department managers who gave me the chance to show what I could do. I learned about myself and what I could achieve. I like to think that I was able to help others achieve their potential through my experiences. We had some great times like when the company celebrated their 75th anniversary at the Adelaide Show Grounds. We used to have luncheons where everyone would bring in a plate of food to share. I am a member of the 25 year club which meets once a year for a dinner, get together and induct new members. The only downfall was when the company was sold and restructured. I was made redundant then. 

Picking and packing of customer orders •Dispatching of customer orders •Forklift operation (Including Double Deep) •Loading and unloading of delivery trucks .Although policies and procedures differed from my former employer of 25 years I was able to adapt quickly to the operatation requirements due to the fundementals of standardised warehousing and to adapt to the operating of a   double deep forklift which I had not had experience with previously. Supervisor/s management and co workers were all lovely people.

I undertook safe operation of a range of manufacturing machines including: Bodines, Manual presses and welding machines. Provided training and induction of new staff to ensure safe and efficient use of tools, equipment and machinery. Acted as a social club representative, organising social events including farewells. fundraisings and christmas functions. Participated in risk assessments and building inspections. the most enjoyable part of the job was to be able to meet and deal with people with different cultures.

I have enjoyed my time at Clipsal and learnt alot as a storeperson.
Managment have been very focused and it has been interesting to see changes over the years.My co-workers have been helpful and challenging. The hardest part of my job would be time managment
with a very heavy workload. The most enjoyable part of my job would be accomplishing and understanding new tasks.

The company was well organized and a pleasure to work for.
The pay rate well excellent, the staff were, for the most part, lovely people whom I am still friends with. 

The hardest part of the job was the large amounts of walking/being on my feet for up to 10 hours.

The most enjoyable part of the job was by far the atmosphere and people, a great bunch of hard working employs.

a typical day at worked involved dealing with customers, showing them what we had to offer and prices. i didnt always work with someone which was difficult as the days dragged on with long hours, however when meeting a new co worker i got along with them quite well

A rewarding job that is clean lightweight work.Picking is the main job of the day(80per day)Have been doing special projects,eg creating and dismantling racking.

Enjoyed the challenge and fast paced atmosphere. Woking with a random selected team coming together and getting great results and feedback. Providing a great service.
