In this company, I learned a new skill in accounting system in Oracle -JD Edwards Enterprise One processing volume of inter company service billing system, general ledgers, monitoring of cash book entering journal entries.  Staffs are very friendly and supportive from management to co-workers where everyone work as a Team. The hardest part is collating volume of documents from inter-company to process an invoice making sure that all claims are in accordance with the project terms and conditions. It requires an eye for detail skills and with high level of accuracy. But the most enjoyable part of my job is when you are able to produce your report and managers always appreciate your effort. Its always been a busy days but we are still able to have fun at work catering for each others needs.  Awesome people in the Project Management Team!

Safe working condition and workforce are systematically outlined with good quality workmanship between co workers, superiors and management. Comprehensive salary cap and predictable roster plus better accomodation and awesome food services. With a wide range of recreation innovative facilities and inspiring activities. Workers culture are commensurate to a normal working process like safety first is highly concerned. JHA are strictly required and followed by risk assessment and hazard controls if any upon accomplishing take 5 minimum of 3 consecutive numbers before and the end of the shift. Work permits are also required specifically depending upon the scope of work. House keeping is implemented to ensure cleanliness of the workareas to get ready for a safe working condition on the next shift.

Management..............Approachable and sometimes symphathetic as each individual case by case basis has been abused by the employee

Workplace culture......Work culture is usually good most times but there usually one bad apple in the bunch

The hardest part of the job...maintaining a positive attitude as the job can be demanding and sometimes frustrating from unforeseable circumstances consisting of disruptions to schedules

4 pre-start meetings daily.
Manage the high risk activities through inspections,audits & hands on.
Be transparent to all.
Different approach to work crews regarding safety.
Trying to explain to senior management sometimes they are wrong.
Watching personals educate them self in new area's.

I enjoyed working with 95% of staff and crews.
But you will always get that in every organisation. You learn to be diplomatic in sensitive area's and focus on the job in hand.

I would not hesitate to work for CBI again if offered.

- too pushy-probably being pushed themselves

- overwhelming amount of work and long long working hours without   compensation
- coming to work early, returning home very late
- sharing a joke and having laughter with my teammates

The project was a large scale project with many different issues .Most crews were of good quality, as was most staff. The HR team were very strict, and in some cases used standover tactics to influence a.The roster was good, although HR were not flexible with travel. Generally the project went well and our company delivered on time and safely.

Admittedly there are plenty of slow, boring days on the construction sites that I have worked on with CB&I but overall it has been great to see the scope of the jobs. The pay has been great, the rosters have been good, allowing me plenty of time with my Mrs and 2 kids.
I have met a lot of great friends and have enjoyed working with some great blokes.

Very busy work place, great team members to support you more like family.
Alot of decisions made behind closed doors then feed to workers, however this is a construction job. 
We had some good opportunities to develop (for career progression) lots of training available.
