The day at work used to be very productive with lot of challenges and work to be completed in the given deadline. Learned a lot especially to cope with challenges meet the management requirements how to handle workforce which is an essential integral part of any industry or sector. Management was very co-operative but there was no room for negligence as it was tolerated at any level.The co-workers were helpful but there was a lot of office politics at the managerial level. The hardest part of the job was to select the right candidate for the right position from a pool of candidates which was used to require heaps of efforts to find the right person for the company. The most enjoyable part was the company used to give free tickets to any concert , football matches so leisure activities was encouraged a lot from the management side.

If you’re looking to get some experience in the security industry , it’s a good place to start until you find something better. 

Most of the supervisors (and some security guards on the same level) treat you horribly and sometimes belittle or verbally abuse you. Even the immature girls who work in the office  and at sign-on at events have a horrible attitude towards staff and show no respect whatsoever. 

Also, the current system in place to lock in shifts is ridiculous. It would be more efficient to lock-in shifts by text messages rather than getting bombarded by phone calls all the time . And signing on/ off at bigger events is so inefficient and archaic that you could be waiting up to 30 mins in a massive line just to sign-off.

I worked for CAP some years ago, their management were extremely hostile and everyone is predominantly employed as casual. Pathetic pay rates with no extra being a Supervisor. They owed wages to me for more than 6 weeks, at that stage reported them to Fair Work Ombudsman for non-payment of wages, suspicion of not paying super and failing to provide payslips on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Ultimately, haf them audited by both ATO and Fair Work. Expect to work odd hours and crazy amounts just to make a decent pay. Better as a second job as there is no job stability. Work for them at your own risk!

Just a foot in the door for beginners, not real experience and a high guard turn over rate due to poor treatment of guards.

This is one of the biggest jokes in the industry, paying around 22 per hr when most companies like this are charging 55per hr to the client,they are well bellow the industry standard and are in breach of the current security services act, my current job pays me average 33 per hr up to 44per hr, also the management system is a joke and if you want to feel like a runt, this is the company for you,  your just there to fill managements pockets, they have no reguard for family life and do not care for your financial needs, they even were caught out lying and retaliated to the fact they were caught.

All the bottom level staff  great bunch of men and woman enjoyed working along side them.
Supervisors mostly useless with zero experience, the Alphas or the bosses don't listen and are about as helpful as a chocolate coated Laxative ( All smiles tell you what you want to hear but in the end just dribble)
Im not even sure if the interviews know anything about security or the industry.
Out of all the Company's not to work for CAP would be neck in neck with INfront !! 

If you have any experience try a real company!! Stay away from these clowns there is a reason why they are always on the hunt for guards no one stays with them when they see there true colours

II have worked at a variety of venues and music concerts, festivals, You need to be aware of if you do something wrong, and don't have a good excuse, you will be punished, and wont receive hours, or if you fall sick before a shift, you need to give notice of eight hours, if you don't supply a doctors certificate, you will be punished, and wont receive any hours until you supply a doctors certificate, they treat you like a child. but by rights, being  casual you don't need to show aa doctors certificate only if you cannot work for more than a week.

Starting work at an event you may be required to wait in an unorganised mess of employees all wondering what they are meant to do - in a hot lineup to check in and expected to get there up to an hour to wait in line before you get clock on.  Then they heard you out to a job without much instruction and some supervisors can be extremely rude.  You don't know how long they will want you to work - may only be for a couple of hours - which isn't worth it if you travelled to the middle of the city and had to pay for train or parking.

I had no major problems working with CAP Security staff or co-workers. 
It was a satisfying casual job that I had whilst I was receiving my Full Time Carers Pension from CES, while caring for my elderly Father, helping make ends meet financially.  
You can plan your jobs easily, by advising them early, from the 3mth rosters that they email you of up and coming events.
I had to stop work with them, as my TC Licence expired and I had started studies just prior to that, in a different field of work.

This company just pays employees far less than the award. They will just break the law and take the money until someone eventually catches them. Everyone I talked to when I worked there was paid much less than Award rates, and all were talking about taking them to Fair Work. 
If you complain about the pay rate or not being paid for hours, they just fire you and withhold a weeks pay, even though it's illegal to withhold pay from casuals.

CAP is a poorly run company with inexperience manager, high employee turnover as company is not loyal to its employees, it doesn't pay the award rate, do not utilise experience & give supervisor roles to inexperience guards instead of to experience guards. They don't listen to the suggestions made by the experience guards at all
