The food is great, however working here is not. Management is horrible, staff members are subjected to disrespect, misogyny and general rudeness– not even from customers, from MANAGERS. Working here is awful, food safety is questionable, cleaning is questionable, and managers will not think twice before throwing crew members under the bus to save theirselves from consequences. I loved my crew/team, it was easy to make friends with them, however the mood would always change when our manager or anyone from higher management was near, because we would all know we were about to be treated like garbage. I hope this company's management goes for a SERIOUS revision soon, because all these awful people should not be running businesses. Have them go through sensitivity training, have them go through GENERAL TRAINING (most of them have close to no idea what they're doing) and actually listen to the staff when they make complaints. Never have I ever had a boss tell me I should "get over it, it was just a joke" when another coworker was being openly ableist to my disabilities, and I beg everyone not to work here, so you don't have to deal with abuse behind doors. 

I worked for about 3 months doing promo for Burger Urge Brisbane. The hiring process is super easy but they barely even had time to discuss with me the job requirements when sitting down at an initial interview which probably lasted no longer than 5 minutes. This demonstrated they just wanted you to work and don’t really care about you or what you are bringing to the team. Even worse, pay for promo was pretty bad & there was no structure to the hours. Sometimes they ask you the day before or on the day to work and when you have a busy schedule this is the worst.  I was only given an email to contact managers on and sometimes they wouldn’t even see my emails. Saving the worst til last, they recently just let me go without saying anything, no “thanks for working with us but our promotional campaign has come to an end” like normal companies but they just stopped giving me shifts and I definitely did nothing to deserve that. Then today I see they are hiring again, Burger Urge Brisbane you’re a joke. Do not do promo for them, instead go to a promo agency - they pay better, treat you better and are 10 times more organised.

would definitely not recommend. earning less than 10 dollars an hour in a 20-30 hour work week, constant heat and shouting, poor communication. working at least 10 overtime most nights (closer to 30 on some), unpaid. the lack of staff equates to a lack of work, but the staff seem like they wouldn’t be able to handle a larger team for their life. less than 4 weeks leave allocated for the whole year. really takes the part-time out of part-time job. last job i would recommend to a student, and even if you are available to work full time you’d make double the money at a retailer or grocer, for half the work. planning on quitting and it’s not even been a month

I have worked for this company for a few years and here are my many issues. 

- I am underpaid (20.91$) flat rate for 21years and over and this wage has not once been reviewed. 
- Hours are always cut without 24hours notice and i am always asked to leave after a 2hour shift.
- Adam from HQ requests shifts to be "violently" cut so sean, cobly and eyleen can have an extra $400 in their pocket. 
- Inadequate training and hiring process.
- Employees and Management have been unfairly dismissed (e.g. rockhampton 2IC) 
- Many HQ workers are sleezy towards employees.
- They care more avout fake 5 star reviews then sending out quality products.
- stores are always understaffed

While I truly enjoyed working with my team and had a great time being around my colleagues, the overall work environment was significantly impacted by management's behavior. The management created a hostile working environment due to unresolved anger issues, which were and continue to be a persistent problem.

Despite multiple pleas from staff to address these concerns, as well as several 1-star reviews highlighting the same issue, no meaningful steps have been taken to resolve this problem. It’s unfortunate because the team dynamic and potential for a positive workplace are overshadowed by this ongoing issue.

Honestly, not having a proper interview and just being hired after a 30 minute trial shift should’ve been enough of a red flag for me not to work here. While it is expected for people to get stressed during busy hours, it does not excuse the blatant disrespect that comes from the managers and clear disregard for any team morale as it gets busy. The pay is meh, and there was no weekend or overtime penalty rates. My mental health also hit an all time low during my time here and constantly felt like I could get nothing right after every shift. Overall, I would not recommend getting a job here unless you have the mental capacity of steel. 

Burger Urge seems like a great place to be at from the outside. Good food, great staff.

Working there is a lot of closes and weekend work which none of this is made aware in interview, trial or job offering - if I would have known this I would have declined the job.

The work alone is not hard, though communication from head office was horrendous. 

Staff are amazing and hard-working but never reach full potential.

No pay rises or bonuses thought implemented proper procedures in store and increased weekly sales.

For the few days I get to work, it is an enjoyable place to work with a fun team and great customers that really enjoy the food and the customer service provided. Unfortunately I do only work an Hour an a half and thats only on the days I get called in to work.

The managers have great customer skills, but when it comes to their crew members they seem to only favor there old staff, so new staff get no hours at work.

Oddly the hardest part about the job is that you dont get enough hours to be trained on everything so it becomes hard to be good at the job.

Work environment is good with the right staff who will be working on that shift.

It’s stressful and the management sometimes out unnecessary pressure to other staff

The pay is rubbish for the amount of work and double standards. They have fired many people for no reason at all. They threaten to cut hours . The highest turn over of staff I have ever seen. Many people do not last here for a reason. Management is highly unprofessional and vent their anger out on the staff. People have cried, been dismissed for petty reasons and what not.
