Working at Brunetti Oro felt overwhelming due to the constant and unrealistic pressure placed on staff. Expectations were extremely high, but there was little support or proper guidance to meet them. Mistakes were not treated as learning opportunities—instead, they often led to reduced hours or visible dissatisfaction from management.

The environment felt more stressful than productive, with a strong focus on speed and perfection rather than teamwork or development. For new staff especially, the lack of patience and understanding made it difficult to build confidence or perform well.

Overall, the pressure did not feel constructive—it felt excessive and discouraging, which affected both performance and morale.

I enjoyed working at Brunetti's and it was a great place to gain experience and customer service skills. A typical day at work included serving customers, cleaning the benches and work areas and ensuring all the correct stock is out the front. Because it was so busy, I had to be a fast leaner and focus on remembering the correct rules. However the other staff/ management were always happy to help when they weren't busy. The hardest part of the job was that I was often standing up all day. However, that was, for me, also the most enjoyable part because I always had something to do and the time went quickly.

I was paid as an U18 part time employee without consent. The contract I’d signed was casual (I was 19 at the time).
When asked if I could be reverted to casual, I was told I’d loose shifts, despite not agreeing to part time in the first place. 
Resigning took multiple attempts, eventually I had to ghost them to get away.
Ps they charge you for locker space whilst employed and you must clock in on the dot never earlier or later.

Low pay, poor treatment of staff, and a management style that can feel humiliating. The workplace environment is very toxic—people are always trying to undermine you, so you have to watch your back. The only positive is that they provide free paninis and coffee.

This is by far the most pathetic cafe I've worked at. No penalty rates, they force you to wear a ridiculous outfit, they make minors supervisors, and hold HR meetings with employees for menial things as pouring skinny milk into full cream coffees by accident. Then they gaslight and micromanage the staff. Avoid this cafe, it's a facist hellhole. 

Fancy Restaurant and Cafes, lots of costumer, there are not slow times, always running but really good money! 
I loved working here especially because everything from food to cutlery is top class! Management was friendly enough and made us feel like a big family.

They expect you to do the work of 2 people, washing dishes while being a kitchen hand. Extremely busy and you get abusive behavior from manager when you're already working extremely hard to satisfy 2 people job. 

Management can get quite slack, head office were trying to blindly run this place from the office. Mostly a very stressful job with a lot expected of you and not enough time or training to do it.
