British Red Cross

The days would vary depending who's in at the time. I would be on the till or steaming one day and then cleaning and tidying the shop another. The managers are fun to be around and they talk to you whilst you're working. I have learned that if you work hard you can achieve anything. The hardest part of the job is taking the out of date clothes off the racks and trying to replace them as fast as you can. The most enjoyable part of the job is meeting new people and working with people you enjoy working with. The easiest part of the job is standing by the till and serving people but doing the give and gain I don't enjoy very much cause it's hard work.

I am a volunteer at BRC, which I chose to work at a couple of years ago. I have been awed by the charity's ethos, and how productive they are in every way they represent themselves. I wanted to be part of it. They made me feel welcome and they took time to teach me, which I appreciated very much. They don't discriminate anyone just because they are non British. I love going there, have made many good friends I love working with. Thank you for your kindness, BRC!

I have worked in a British Redcross Retail Environment now for 3 years and I have really enjoyed it, there is never a dull moment in our shops and always something to do to suit everyone. All of my colleagues felt like a second family and not just somebody that I can work with

The staff and management is so amazing! It's a place I would recommend anyone to work.

Management is very supportive when it comes to any work or non work related issues  and looks after their staff.

Good for experience nothing more ! Can be very boring only good thing is that the experience you get is really good however I wouldn’t recommend to anyone who wants a job with the British cross due to having to work as a volunteer for a few years first

Always dealing with new customers and helping their needs where possible. Friendly workspace and kind hearted customers who appreciate the service and are very friendly to staff and volunteers.

I had to sort out through the bags that we got to see if they were in good condition to sell.
I learnt how to work with my people skills by working at the till.
The people that I worked with were nice and easy to get along with.

I enjoy working at the British Red cross very enjoyable even though it is voluntary. The staff are extremely kind and fun to work with, and I thoroughly enjoy working there.

Good environment to work in. The shop sometimes get busy, the others that also work there are good people to work with throughout the time you're working.

I learned a lot of things through BRC. I enjoy volunteering there.
