Bright Stars Kindergarten

I have been with the company for over three years now upon my first year I fell pregnant with my son only just working two weeks I was just a assistant educator. The approved Provider was nothing but supportive with me working throughout my pregnancy especially through my medical conditions. I was given the opportunities to grow from a assistant to a room leader and now a nominated supervisor. There are always room to grow into new and better positions. It has been a journey but I can say that working here has been the only centre I have felt supported especially with my growing family. 

All higher management do not care for what you do for them, they constantly lie to staff, as well as talk about confidential things to other staff and spread things between centres. Constant staff turnovers as they fire people for no reason even when staff is needed, many people quit as management doesn’t take mental illness into consideration when needing time off. Many staff are felt responsible for things that management should be doing. As well as no support staff and nearly always just enough staff to get through a day of work. 

The environment is horrible. The management team are very toxic and fake. They often share confidential 
information about staff members to other co-workers. They barley follow policies and procedures. The staff turnover is horrible also. They offer minimal support to the educators with the Additional Needs Children even though they receive funding for and meant to have a support worker.

I learned how to work at a fast-paced environment, how to talk to children correctly, and not to make friends with people you work with but don't see often.
Supervisors were nice and helpful, but boss was harsh, rude, and unfair.
Hardest part of the job: Getting yelled at if the children were being slow and not completing their work.
Most enjoyable part of the job: Teaching children new things, and making children smile.

Bright stars is an amazing company to work for. Not only do management go above and beyond to ensure staff feel respected and appreciated at work, they are also accomodating and supportive of family needs. I have not long returned to the workforce after having my daughter and everyone within the centre and management was beyond supportive and made the transition easy and comfortable. Work is now something I can honestly say I look forward to. 

Working at Bright Stars kindergarten is always fun, professional and positive. They have a great work/family/home life balance and are always supportive when you need time off for important events & family. 
Room to grow within the company and a great support with higher management to help improve your skills and knowledge within the industry. 

I love my job, I love the girls I work with and the families are great too! My two children attend full time and they absolutely love it here.
I have never felt more at home and supported in a workplace!

Things were amazing at the beginning until I voiced an opinion in the interest of children.
Toxic work culture 
No healthy work life balance. 
Wouldn't work there for all the money in the universe. 
Also constantly understaffed with no support.

I was running two rooms as a room leader until I was fired for no reason, I was doing work from home, they never really used the resources in the storeroom and I was never given an extra staff member for the children who have additional needs. They also relied on the trainees to care for the the children on their own when the qualified educators went on break.

Freedom to express yourself through clothing that is appropriate for kids! Supportive, fun and relaxing environment. I work here with staff members that I have known for over ten years and continue to learn alongside them in the industry.
