Good organisation with high cleaning standards . Friendly courteous staff and managers. Nice place to work, Felt at home there.

Started at 3pm for afternoon shift.
Drove ride-on cleaner and cleaned over half of the new hospital.
Put out safety signs then cleaned ward by ward.  After using the ride-on ,I mopped ward hallway edges by hand. 

The time in silence was the hardest, when on noisy ride-on and not able to talk with others

When I was mopping I could have short interactions with others and feel a boost as there was a good deal of camaraderie in the hospital

Review patient meals,ordering of stock,time sheets/wages,stock taking,rostering,oh&s issues,meetings,p&l reporting.Time management and better communication skills,co workers were efficient and extremely friendly.The hardest part of the job was trying to balance keeping the client (Easternhealth) and my employer ISS happy at the same time.Positive customer and staff feedback.

Box Hill Hospital is undoubtedly the worst place I have ever worked. As far as work/life balance is concerned....well there is none. Management are immune to the health and work place safety requirements of the staff. Management make it very hard for an employee who wants to change working hours to suit family/life commitments or to manage personal health crises.

I loved working until nearly midnight and being able to play the radio or even a cd as i worked! A secure carpark is provided so i always felt safe walking to it at the end of my shift. I was always kept busy so the hours went so quick. The other staff were nice but i didnt really interact alot with them as we all had our things to do.

I would definitely work there again!

A typical day of work in Box Hill Hospital is amazing , we interact with the patients and the Staff and also share our experiences and work as a team always commiting  to our company to perform 100 per cent in our duties and the most important service with a human touch.

This was a supportive work environment for many years.
Provided opportunity to meet people from varied backgrounds and cultures. I learned to deal with people in difficult and often very emotional situations.
My time there provided great life experience.

In general, staff are caring and compassionate, and create a good culture of support to their colleagues.
Workplace culture is largely positive, team culture is evident and though the hospital works under constant pressure, the staff pull together well.

Bad managers who play staff off against each other & play favourites. 
Do not return emails 
Actively discourage  creative types or those with problem solution skills. 
Fail to check in with staff when off for serious workplace injuries 
Micro manage 

I would never leave my work at BHH but I just move to Gold Coast that the main reason my team are amazing my NUM excellent my colleague super i learnt so much Thanks BHH 2.2
