The job itself is fun, and i enjoy alot of aspects of it its pretty chill and the team is very nice. However, there is definetly favouritsm and people being treated unfairly if you are new. You definetly are expected to do more/told off more etc if you arent part of the 'inner group' of friends. 

EMPLOYED AS 'PART TIME' but put on casual hours with little benefits. They hire 14 year olds who will only work one shift a week, meaning they are unable to make enough hours to use their leave benefits anyway. Being part time you get paid ALOT less. You only have one break, but are somtimes rostered 9-5, meaning you are walking around on floor for 8-9 hours 'supervizing kids' with only a thirty minute break. No sitting down, no eating etc. They expect alot from you, which is not worth the terrible pay. 

MEDICAL CERTIFICATES are expected, and the poor highschoolers who work the weekends who are occasinally going to be sick are forced to get a medical certificate no matter what. If you try and swap shifts to avoid this, you get in trouble too. I half like my job and alot of these things dont affect me as much as i am older, though i am writing this on behalf of the young people who are taken advantage of in this company (was once me).

ALSO if you work in big bounce there is ALOT of drama, people fighting over relationships, getting into fights, love triangles, cheating etc.

Bounce is extremely busy all the time, so it's very fast paced. A normal day consists of putting 150 wristbands on people an hour, dealing with confrontation on a regular basis, making coffees (I am barista trained by Di Bella), cleaning vomit, dealing with lots of injuries such as broken bones and open wounds and focusing on safety. 

Part of the job description at bounce was that we had to be extremely bubbly and outgoing. This means that all of the co workers are very similar, so we get on really well, but we can clash at the same time. Some people may see it as a recipe for disaster, but I really enjoy it because even though there can be a lot of drama, we are like one big family.

Because of the fast paced/busy environment, there are a lot of times when our supervisor is not available, which means I have had to learn how to think fast when it comes to confrontation. I think it has helped because sometimes we can't just hand the difficult customers to our managers, we have to think of a resolution ourselves. 

We have weight restrictions for our trampolines, so telling customers they can't jump because they are too heavy, is definitely the hardest part of the job. Seeing the excitement in customers faces and giving them that fun experience is one of the most enjoyable parts of the job.

Bounce is a very different kind of company and workplace I’ve found.
But I’ve grown to love it right from the start 
It’s a place where they literally show you their whole philosophy into each host that starts there and it’s up to you to figure out how your gonna use it
And the philosophy isn’t even illogical it’s literally the most pure and loving thing ever 
It helps customers and even yourself grow from it 
It’s the best 
Now yes it’s just like any other workplace, there’s mistakes, errors and all that shibaz but the owners and people who work there are really really responsible, loving and kind-hearted
All the people I’ve met from other bounce venues have taught me different things and are literally the sweetest and most genuine people.

Working at bounce is great, but it all comes down to management at the end of the day
Bounce really does care about their people though
Like truly, they listen, they check in, they don’t put up with drama and they check in frequently to listen to their people

Bounce needs a reality TV show it’s the best 

Management has favouritism issues and lack of coordination. They’ll tell you they will have a meeting with staff about so and so but never actually follow through. People take the job overly desirous of, overstepping when you’re on the same wage. Pay is horrible, you’re out here doing 8 hour shifts with only a 30 min break. I’ve seen them give poor high schoolers 9 hour shifts in a Saturday without any choice. People are entitled and incredibly rude, lot of personal lives being involved in the job. They’re so quick to tell you what you do wrong but never commend you for doing anything well. Venue leaders are incredibly lazy. It was 40°C days in summer and we were out on the floor dying of heat and they sat in their ac, simply telling us it is broken and  the landlord needs to fix it. Yet it’s been broken for several summers consecutively. Rostering also is horrible, 5 areas on floor but only 2 people at the busiest times due to budget cuts. CHEAP, TOXIC AND HORRIBLE.  

poopie dookie hours and the worst possible rostering where you'll be rostered on a 3 hour shift middle of the day or you'll be rostered on 2 5 hour shifts with 30 minutes between them (sneaky). You'll get rostered like a casual with 0 set days or hours . god awful pay for the amount of work they have you do, constant micromanaging and being watched over cams. only plus you get some good experience in different things that you can take to other jobs. Staff turnover is incredibly high- the place has barely been open a year and to my knowledge are on round 6 of recruitment- they really have taken 0 time to reflect on why this may be. 0 support from HQ in fact they make it worse and harder most the time- oh and nothing works properly, soo many things are broken and have never been fixed. the most they do Is pull out duct tape and call it a day. coworkers are lovely and everyone's nice, managements culty and real rude

Most shifts are 5 hours or less so they don't have to give you a break. You could of just worked a 5 hour shift in less than desirable temperatures and be scolded for one mistake without acknowledgment of the past couple hours you did everything right. There is clear favouritism around the workplace and management likes to sit in the AC all day and complain about the little things. The money also isn't great being a minimum wage job.  On a positive, you get some great interactions with kids and have a bunch of fun with them - Most of the time the kids and parents are great but you can get some crabby people. In general its a fun place to work but management needs to step up and look after its workers better.

Punctuality, presentation and product knowledge have become an important part of working in a professional environment and this is demonstrated through my attention to detail.
My time at Loco Group involved being responsible for managing our team of people, recruiting, training, supervising and appraising staff. In addition to providing extensive organisational and administrative support to help achieve our goals as a team. This work is also apparent within my time at Bounce Inc. and has provided me with strong communication skills and an outgoing, energetic personality ensuring exceptional customer service for both clients and colleagues.

Everyone who works at Bounce is there for different reasons but having your heart in the job makes a tremendous difference. Ive seen people leave and stay for various reasons but those who have left have always been people who either have grown out of working at Bounce or have left due to poor wages, working environment or personal reasons. Most people who have left due to the latter were usually people you couldn’t wait to see leave anyways.

The work culture is amazing albeit exhausting, but the people who work with you helps a lot. Incredibly flexible hours with the venues being run with majority students and a lot of understanding leadership members. 

They randomly canceled my shifts on the day, they tried to make up for said canceled shifts by rostering me on for 12 hour shifts. I didn't know breaks were a thing at work until I quit. They underpaid me, didn't give me any super, they regularly messed up payment. 
Work culture was toxic and rude. SO MUCH DRAMA. 
I don't recommend working here at all.

A typical day involves being fun and engaging with customers and co workers a like, learning how to efficiently deal with issues such as injuries and overall safety. The hardest part is dealing with injuries but the most enjoyable part was definitely jumping around with customers.
