Despite that i had to wake up pretty early to go to work, i loved how i could just help out people in need and feel like i'm actually doing something thats worth it and not just 'slacking off'. From the very first day I enjoyed every minute spent in the workplace. The staff were kind, helpful and most of all very friendly.
The saddest part of my job was when the one of my patients passed away on my second day of work. It was like loosing a close friend as I became attached to her and noticed how much of an impact i had on her happiness. Overall, its a great place to work if you would love to be a nurse, I was there for only a week (without pay) pay but i can say that it's a great job and its very rewarding.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I have had placement in multiple areas of the hospital and I have to say, the staff are amazing, they are very friendly and approachable.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The only stressful thing is the parking.

Friendly, approachable and very helpful.

I have only had placement at the hospital, but it was enjoyable.

Great hospital, great people. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The roads in Sydney are always packed with heavy traffic. So driving there is a headache often taking one hour from home, which should only take 20 minutes.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great! Very culturally inclusive.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Not often did I have a bad day.

just turn-up to work and assist the General services manager.  Prepare correspondence or memo to the staff as instructed by the manager, answer telephone calls, then go home.

The most enjoyable is when I have done more than enough in a day.

4 months from applying to getting a first shift. Information given in interview turned out wrong. Never met manager - only email communication. No instruction on how to access email, parking, roster, payslip. Received a few days training (which I had to beg for). Since I finished training there have been no casual shifts available on the roster. Need to check roster website every day - inconvenient. Lots of gossip and back stabbing

Being able to experience working within this industry, it has given me a brief idea. 
My co-workers were very friendly and helpful in teaching me and working with me.
Although work was pretty tiring standing the whole day, I was able to learn a few things that occur within the establishment.

It’s a busy position but rewarding to see the changes community can make. It exposes you to different personalities but it is rewarding. 
The position requires problem solving, working under immense pressure and prioritising work according to the needs of the job 

Moral is very low and Managers do not help the situation
Ridiculous times schedules given to complete tasks
No down time at all always rushing
Ohs issues overlooked

I loved working in the ED, it was very fast paced, exciting and a great team . I liked the staff and the unit manager was very approachable. Interview went well, i began working within 10 days and loved my time at Blacktown hospital.

A lot of staff get bullied, treated very poorly.
Management sweep everything under the rug.
Its like being back at school again with the people that work there.
